Steve I used your bom to order parts, I just got the essentials kit from the store for the Harris parts. Thanks for the heads up
The kit is designed around the lower Idss parts, about 5 mA, and I have a nice stock of Gr Toshibas so it was just luck...

Yes I agree getting the Harris mosfets and Toshiba jfets for 25 bucks is a bargain. I have an aca mini already and it is a sweet little amplifier. Jumpers out in my book.
Does this mean there is/are changes to the original BOM? Just curious. The kit is designed around the lower Idss parts, about 5 mA,
Just different manufacturers, in this case slightly more regarded ones.
The DIYAudostore is really on top of their game with the ACA Mini. My order was just delivered (I'm lucky in that I live no more than 30min from the distribution site).
A very big Thank You to Nelson Pass and all who made this happen.

Ordered... together with multiple pairs of beautiful speaker connectors (highly recommended BTW)

If someone wants to organize a Group Buy for ten or more of the red PCBs emblazoned EXPERIMENTAL, I'd be glad to have them fabbed in China and shipped to your house. Some people might find this an attractive possibility, because the Completion Kit in the store is so inexpensive. Adding the cost of another, more visually striking PCB, would still keep the total price reasonable.
Here's how it would work.
Group Buy Organizer ("GBO") solicits buyers, GBO collects money, GBO receives the boards at his house, and then ships them out individually to buyers. If there is any Customs paperwork or Tax paperwork for the final shipments to individual buyers, GBO fills out those papers. All I do is pay your collected money to the fab, and provide them your ship-to address.

Actually, I think the silkscreen is backwards. I just installed mine and it is also backwards, but I made a point of checking the switch before putting it in. Since it is an on - on switch...it is symmetrical. Flipping it would result in the same issue. At least that is how I'm viewing this. Am I completely wrong? They will be available to the first 100 people who purchase them. I've been playing with mine for the last week. It's currently powering my 15" TAD woofers. I'm amazed by the control this little 5W amp exhibits! and it looks pretty cool all undressed. Haha!
I subsituted a blue LED in keeping with the First Watt decor of my listening room. And yes, I know. I installed my SPDT switch backwards...View attachment 1074075
*To be clear...it is the combination of an on/off silkscreen but using a DT switch. If you had a ST switch, you could change the orientation to match the on/off legend.
(I think) 🤔

I just finished building an ACA Mini kit today, my first legitimate component build. It went very smoothly with all the great advice here, plus of course the guidance in Nelson's pdfs. Adjustment process went well once I put two meters on a channel; I felt I was walking around blindfolded before that.
This also being the first Class A amp I've ever had, I was wondering if, for listening, I should be allowing 10-15 min or so for the ACA Mini to warm up (that seems to be what it needs to fully stabilize the bias, etc.) before asking it to do any work? I'm not asking about what it needs to sound best, just if asking it to deliver watts before it has achieved some level of stabilization is stressing it in a way that it should not be.
