Moode Audio Player for Raspberry Pi

Many NAS units have a USB port to add an external drive. Maybe he thought he could connect the Pi to that? Both the NAS and the Pi are USB hosts, so obviously this couldn’t work, but this may be where the confusion arose.

To @Lexxz: the NAS connects over the network, see the documentation on mounting a SAMBA share and adding it to the library. Your DAC plugs directly to a USB port on the Pi.
Loxjie-d30 DAC is connected now

First, set the DAC as output:

Then wait for MPD to restart:

You should now be able to play the Stereo test file located on the sd card and hear it coming from your DAC.

thanks, all right
The player worked for 2 hours and passed out. Then I uploaded the MoOde 802 image to a completely new 32GB SD card. It reboots normally on RESTART, but falls asleep on SHUTDOWN but turns on RECONNECT and the player does not turn on. Connection timed out. repeat and the same. Loading only by pulling the cable. I did not change anything with the system, only the time zone. Another question: after various manipulations with the player settings on the old SD card, Chrome and EDGE do not open the player interface (the connection is not secure). Only Firefox opens the web interface. Tom doesn't recommend using Firefox.

Please tell me the stable version of MoOde. Using NAS Syslog + RPi4B + USB DAC + Amplifier.
The latest version 8.0.2 cannot be configured for normal operation.
I can't comment on your NAS setup, however I can definitely confirm that Moode 8.0.2 is perfectly stable running on RPi 4B when connecting to a UPnP server (JRiver), and a USB DAC.

I suggest you have network issues, or browser issues (latest browser updates? stale cache?), or both.

What you are describing is completely normal if I'm understanding you correctly. When you Shutdown, the only way to reconnect is by pulling and reconnecting the 5V DC power.

This is true of all OS software/distros on Raspberry Pi, unless an ON/OFF hardware button of some sort has been implemented via GPIO, or you are using a PSU that has a switch built into it, in which case you can flip that switch instead of pulling and replacing the DC power.

It's unfortunate that the Pi has no sleep mode of any sort. I must admit I've ended up just leaving it powered on the whole time, though given current energy prices I suspect we're all looking to reduce the number of vampire devices that draw power despite being unused.
Just for reference, here are some measurements people have made of the amount of power different Pi models draw at idle and under load:
