Comparison with the F10 will be of interest. A classic.

the F-10s has better resolution and separation but the bass is not as good as the Alpair 10ps but adequate. the MA10P is better all rounder and very forgiving but not as detailed and engaging as the f-10. fwiw. my favorite instrument is the cello and with the f-10 i feel like there is more texture and layers to it than with MA10ps.

IMHO
Wide band is the speaker for the 21st C audiophile,, The seller of the VX8 mentions that nearly all chinese audiophiles employ Wide band's as speaker of choice.
No Brainer.
Seems the chinese audiophile are far advanced of the USA audiophile.

The discovery of wide bands, past year, wasa mind blowing exp.
I could not believe my ears how superior the wde band was over the Seas Millennium tweeter.
At taht moment, i ripped out the brand new Millenniums of the Thors, listed on ebay at 60% off $300/free ship , sold in 2 hours,, Put that cash in wide bands.
WEnt through,,ohhh 6 modles before i hit on this DL VX8.
IMHO its the best.
May even give AER a run for its money.
I tried the Voxativ newest design the AC1A. = dud, just aweful, Zero bass, no mids, zero highs pure trash.
Paid $2G's sold it for $1300, but I paid the buyers tax, out of good will, $100 + Free ship.
This Davidlouis VX8 is the wide band to beat.

I gotta say this.

I fear that may be the same David Lewis who screwed a lot of people out of a lot of money for bad ESL designs and bits to diy your own. A buddy got burned for a bunch.

Even if it is a superb driver, if this is the same guy, i would avoid on moral grounds, or at least approach with extreme caution.

If motzart is basing his conclusion on a YouTube… just remember, you can’t really tell much more than what a still picture would in most cases. Certainly won’t tell you what they sound like. And this YouTube is a bit of a joke. Gaps. Speakers different sizes…more.

Now David Lewis is a common efuuf name… David Lewis - Wikipedia (many dead, none in audio listed). I did find. dealer, and a guy who works at B&O.

7MS and the Monacor woofers, yes. These MAOPs should fit straight in so I should be able to give a comparison. A bit of a risk because they may not be as good as the 7MS with its mono suspension but curiosity got the better.

I should hope they're better at the price point they're being offered at but I guess you will find out soon. I have always wondered how this process automatically makes the drivers better. They are definitely my favourite in terms of looks though

It will be interesting to hear your take I have teh same drivers.

The routed hole for the A7ms is smaller then the A7s in the old basket. To repalce the A7eN ib my WAW i have to 3D print an apaptor, but these are on the new basket. Do they have a spider?

Yes they do have a spider. From the dimensions data sheet they should fit straight in to 7MS cut out which fits Pluvia 7 that I also have.
I hope to get them in by the end of the week and then they'll need some running in.
