Are those plastic holders for the capacitors 3d printed?
That was exactly what I was asking myself too.
I doubt if those holders are available via some shops.
Thank you all very much for your kind words ! The preamp sounds very good with no hum. The grounding scheme was made with care to reduce interference. Now I need a more decent turntable to enjoy it more
Yes, the cap bases were 3D printed. They were easily designed in SketchUp and just sent to the printer. Can share the files of course.

tube (hybrid) preamp finally done....
Here is my new preamp, it has the phono stage from Allen Wright's RTP5 and the line stage from Acoustic Research AR25. Both are hybrid stages, with the phono using bipolars and a 6922EH, the line stage using JFETs and 6H30.
This preamp also has an amplifier for electrostatic headphones and a few other things, probably the most complex preamp I ever built. Took me 8 years (with breaks )....
The whole thing is put into a salvaged Revox chassis which is barely enough to hold everything... hope you like it!

I like your job WntrMute2, parts....!! and your color of chassis...
Are they Landfall chassis?Phono-stage with separate power supply and pre-amp. To match the amps I built a few years ago.
My prototypes have been running well for a few months now. The only slight annoyance is mechanical noise from the mains transformers. (which isn't caused by DC) I've been thinking of possibly upgrading to some Toroidy Supremes. Then I need to pull my finger out and decide on a chassis for them.

Nice looking !
Can't you put those transformers on rubber rings in stead of mounting them directly on the chassis?
Thanks. The choke and power transformer are on rubber pads cut to match their footprint. Only the output transformer is directly mounted. I'd assumed that would be sufficient to dampen the vibration. That said, the anchoring nuts underneath the plate have no damping washers.Nice looking !

Yes those are Landfall chassis. I have used them for my last 4 builds and have been more than satisfied. I usually get the split chassis version and try to keep the power supply stuff in the small chamber. Dave at Landfall is great and their delivery time has improved tremendously.
Your stuff looks glorious!

I was thinking of the dual chamber design as I'd already separated out the interior.
I'm just hoping that international shipping to the UK and duty doesn't make them hideously expensive as no one seems to make anything similar over here.
Thank you for the kind offer.Maybe I could ship to you? Be happy to investigate. Landfall could ship to me and I'd send it on.
I'm still pondering on the transformers which may still affect the dimensions slightly so I can't order anything just yet. I'll see what they say when I get around to enquiring.
Try grommets and do not tighten the nuts too tight. It is OK for a mains transformer to have some freedom of movement. Possibly the noise you are observing is amplified by the wooden enclosure.I'm still pondering on the transformers
