Looks nice. A fanout only version is a good idea.
I would greatly prefer the fanout only version to be 1 input / 2 outputs, to make boardsize small and easy to integrate with limited space.

The Buffalo BS-GS2016 switch preferred a LVCMOS output and need a 25MHz crystal and if I choose AT 6.25MHz, a TWTMC-PXO-AIO, I also need a TWTMC-STS to convert sine to square= LVCMOS output...Correctly?
If Yes, which TWTMC-STS SX or DX, do I have to order?
Yes, you need the sine to square converter.
SX and DX versions differ in the pins layout only to fit Ian's FIFO stuff, so both work in your case.
IMHO you better take it TWTMC-STS-FSDO-F instead of TWTMC-STS.
Two output (possible driving two Ethernet device), filtering capability (sine input signal bandwidth restriction).

The board size is the same, the only difference is that the switching logic components are not assembled.
FILTA=H, FILTB=H.
Like there.

Andrea,
Is LTC6957 input filter sets to 50MHz?
FILTA=H, FILTB=H.
The filters settings don't depend only on the input frequency but also on the amplitude.
Indeed you can read in the datasheet: "Evidently, the input filtering will not significantly help with large and fast slewing input signals to the LTC6957".
When the proto board it's ready we test the phase noise with and without filters and then we will chose the best settings.
@Andrea: Well, I can see that my reply to your post #3270 somehow got lost and I can also see that things have evolved since then. Looks like a really prolific and creative time for you & Roberto ;-)
With regards to using, or not using, a squarer for a DAC I think I will try it out on a specific ADC - with & without a squarer - when I get the time to do so (and have built your latest oscillators). I reckon it may say a bit about the influence of the squarer on this particular ADC, yet unfortunately possibly not on other ADC/DACs as I suppose they are quite differently designed ...
BTW I will soon be adding my order to the GB list - I am waiting for some information on the newest Esstech ADCs so as to assess whether to include an oscillator for this ADC.
@Doede:
Cheers,
Jesper

@Doede:
... my goodness Doede - I had no idea there were so many 88 & 176 kHz tracks ... Thanks for the info ;-)To give you an idea Jesper, I have roughly 5500x 88kHz and 7500x 176kHz tracks....
Cheers,
Jesper
Hi Andrea,
I want to use the new TWTMC-STS-FSDO board for switching (manually) from 11.2896 and 12.2880. I suppose this is ok, but could it be used as well for switching from two different 24Mhz clocks???

If you want I can send you the Dual CMOS and the LVPECL versions of the
LT 6957 eval boards for testing.

Yes, just connect an on-off switch to the board to get it switching between two oscillators.
And even you can use the board to switch between 2 oscillators at the same freqeuncy.

Hi Gerhard, I have already ordered the board, the only issue is that the LTC6957-3 (CMOS output) is out of stock until Dec 7th.
Have you any LTC6957-3 on hands?
I have 2 of the dual CMOS output -3
3 of inv/non inv out -4, LVPECL and LVDS.
I have one soldered sample of my OCXO carrier board with
2 already mounted, so I can continue to work on it over the holiday season.
My circuit needs only one output to feed the CPLD, so I could replace the -3
on my board by -4 if needed. That would provide another two.
All are the MSOP12 version with leads.
I will not slaughter the evaluation boards before I have measured
their performance in original state.
Send me your snail mail address again, I probably can't find it quickly.
Optimism is only incomplete information. DigiKey won't get more
before April. :-( That would be the lucky case, that they use American
date encoding even in German text. Otherwise it would be July.
