How to make flat enough a 3" in a horn ??? And people like Dr Gedlle seems against that : I mean not 3" compression driver but 3" cones. Which one are you talking about please ?
The 3" Faital in horn ?

Faital 5FE120 with printed plug. Many advocates idea of true midrange driver in a horn or waveguide - WE15A lovers. Not many can afford Ale Acoustic D-125,
Goto SG 146, Community M4 (3-6k), Ale Acoustic 5500, Vitavox S3 or S2, Altec 288, JBL 2420 / LE85 / LE175, Atlas IED, PD-5VH, Klipsch 55.
Marcel - very good better than mine 😱

Yep. Maybe a quadratic throat would be worth exploring too, in a bigger scale: circular or elliptical arc + conical part + SE termination + rollback. Easy enough.

I think some of the recent profiles are quite promising. Beaming somewhat but remarkably gradually through the whole audio band.
- One of those will be definitely a good candidate for the Faital HF1440.

I understand if English is not your first language. I've always been a believer that so long as the point gets across it's alright. But can you please make a bit of an attempt to spellcheck? You misspell Dr. Geddes name practically every time.
BTW, all these recent results were for a flat source wavefront. For a driver with a conical exit (as most do) it could be slightly different, maybe even better - I'm working on that.
