The rework on the single-channel PS cap. board seems to be most easily done using and 4mm end-mill on a drill press to cut away the resistor solder pad on one side of the board or the other. The depth of the cut should be only enough to remove the copper. If I put together a proper jig to properly hold the boards on my x-y drill press vice, it may not be too time consuming for me to do them all.Hi Lynn,
It doesn't sound like removing the solder mask would be too difficult a task so
I would be happy to handle it myself.
Can you please indicate what rework may be needed for the single channel PS
board?
Thanks,
Dennis
Hi Lynn,
I feel very comfortable with removing the mask around the PFET. I do not think I could successfully re-work the PS cap board. I am still undecided re: my final PSU configuration. So, I would truly appreciate a set of the re-worked single channel boards along with the dual channel set. I am more than happy to adjust any cost accordingly. If that is not feasible, I completely understand and will go with only the dual channel boards.
Once again, thank you for sharing the project!

I don’t mind taking the solder mask off around the PFET. I would also appreciate the re worked single channel boards if it’s not too time consuming. If it is time consuming then just the dual channel set would be great. Thanks again for all your hard work on this.
OK, here is the situation:
I will rework the PS single-channel cap. boards. After getting properly set up I can fix one board in less than 3 minutes. It is repetitive work and I need to take breaks often, but I will get it done in the next couple of days.
I will leave it to the builders to do the silkscreen removal around the IXYS PFET terminal holes. It is fairly easy to to with a sharp tool. The exposed bare copper should be tinned with solder to prevent corrosion.
My next task is to populate and test the new FCFE, OS-left, and OS-right PCBs, i.e. populate them with components and test them in a running amplifier.

I am still struggling with the customs forms and shipping for the non-USA shipments. I hope to get them out tomorrow. I have been trying to generate the shipping labels with customs info using the USPS International shipping webpage, put all of the info into it, make my payment, which gets accepted, but no labels get printed. Go figure. 😡
