Thanks. I've been waiting since I was 27-28 and I turning 45 in a few months, it has to happen now if I want a few decades of riding pleasure before its too late 🙂. (Got my eye on the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT)
We are quite off topic here so I'll keep it short. If the body, mind and soul is up for it, 75-80 is not an unreasonable age, and hey, that's a very classic bike 🙂.I´m 67 on a Honda CBR-1000 SC24, and I still hope for a couple of decades 🙂 🙂 🙂
@Alex, Will the solder braid technique - you illustrated below - work for hand soldering the STM32 MC chip to the uC Board? Or, does that require an oven? What's the best approach to use for those 'uber micro' solder tabs. I think I can handle all the other chips by hand, but the uC has me a bit worried. 🙂
Also, on a related topic, have you, or anyone else produced a template for the layout of the back panel, using the latest set of v3 PCBs. I don't recall seeing an image of a finished back panel, but I still have a lot of posts to go through. Picture somewhere? Everyone doing their own thing?
Otherwise, I'm collecting parts and have finished the main PSU board along with one of the shunt regulator boards. Lot's of intricate soldering. 😀

Hello Redjr,
No oven is needed and the MCU is actually quite easy to mount.
I recommend to use flux to remove any short between pins you may create once soldering so don't worry too much about shorts if you make some.
As for the rear panel yes there is one, let me add it on HCFR first page then all can have it.
Alex.
Thanks, good to know. I was quickly going thru the 64 pages on the HCFR site and did find more pictures and illustrations of the boards and how some fit together. Very helpful.
This week I will ship all the remaining parcels using DHL to France for redispatch as situation in Taiwan seems not evolving regarding the countries black listed.
Then I will do my best to translate the first page on HCFR UGS Muse topic.

Alex, thanks to you once again! Your patience through the GB, support for translations, and answering questions is greatly appreciated.

Is anyone familiar with what is required to be able to download attachments on the HCFR site? The site reports I do not have permissions (for example). Hopefully it is just a registration fee. I am specifically looking to download some front panel design files that were used for an order at Schaeffer.

Hi Alex,
I would also like to thank you for your support for this GB. It is a monumental effort and very much appreciated.
Would you consider adding links to the commonly used case too? I think it is is the Slim Line or
Pesante

Ah... it's maybe a problem on my side then. I added this file for all of you to be able to download it.
It is on my Google drive, you cannot download it? If not I will need to arrange something else for the sharing, I thought Google will allow this.
You are really welcome. I will try to help always when I can.
Yes it is the slim line, good point let me add the link to HCFR.
I will add as well a link to a doc to debug the modules but in French, will need a translation later on...
@drpro and @pavol I did not received any answer to my PM regarding your phone number so I don't know how to ship your parcel. Can you please reply?
@JoeyDD I am shipping your parcel tomorrow from Taiwan as we adjusted your address to USA.
For all the remaining persons your parcel is leaving with DHL to France.
Eric nicely accepted to be the relay and ship it to you once he receive the big parcel.
I will let you know after DHL shipment to Eric if anything needs to be paid again for shipping.
