I have a MiniDSP streamer mulitchannel USB to I2S board, so this could be used with the STARpure DAC and a coventional PCM dac to make 4- channels, I guess. Then there will be no need for a controller for the CT7302 in 4-channels, right?

Yes, you can use as input a MiniDSP streamer multichannel but the CT7302 chip need a controller to select the configuration, input, pcm to dsd convertion and other parmeters.

Thaks, but I do not need a 4-channel controller for the CT7302 only the standart 2-channel controller, as the CT7302 only controls the two of the channels, right?

Yes, you can use 2 different DAC for the 2 different I2S output but I don't know if there are problems of sincronization.

No problems with that, Audiolense will take care of any timing issues between sub and arrays. Still my question is.: I only need a controller for the CT7302 in 2 channels, when I only use it in two of the channels anway right?

The controler module is connected to one STAR DAC DSC module in normal stereo configuration.


If you want to use 2 x STAR DAC DSC modules the controller can be modified.

And what is it exactly you are working on? The complete Star Pure DAC? Or a separate board for the CT7302 ?

Perhaps understandable if it takes awhile. CT7302 has about one hundred fifty I2C registers 😱

But it has already been made, with controller and all. I am not sur what is missing before it could be available.

I hope you mean out only I2S AND DSD - but without the DSC dac. 😉
Do you have any idea to when this is ready?
And is the Star Pure DAC ready to buy anywhere?

I would be really interested in this board.

Could we have I2S input as well as output? This would allow people use to their own transports like USB to I2S boards.
