Contrary to the loudspeaker systems of the Swiss guy (Tobiansystems) discussed earlier in the thread, these German loudspeakers are not ridiculously priced.
With at least one exception.
This Synergy hornsystem's estimated price is $350.000.

After looking at all these commercial designs. I think I made my cabinets too big and drivers spaced too far apart from each other.
Took an image of the commercial MCM (similar angle) and dirty copied/pasted/resized the drivers including waveguides/rings.

Wave guide for bass drivers? Too fancy for my skill set!
Thinking I’ll pair the 12” beyma coaxial with the 12” jbl 124a in a small compact design. Bedroom setup.
The big towers (above) I’ll fit the faital 15pr400 with horn with faital CD in centre hole.
That should keep me busy for a while.

front baffle is not removable currently, but I will route a square shape baffle in the centre enclosed area so I can easily swap between different horns.
That horn above is nice looking and would fit well in that space...
I currently have the following PH-4220 on the way. (http://www.paudiothailand.com/uploads/pdf/products/PH-4220.pdf)

acuhorn 15 seems like nice large 2-way. using faital pro bass and hivi planar tweeter. 1khz first order crossover!
Acuhorn 15
Acuhorn 15

Didn't find them on Klipsch website. 🙁

Nice looking, but no worthwhile measurements, reviews nor familiar with the components, so no way to assess them. 🙁

if you could go with a 4594nd (so coax 3way) or a 2-way config with a single CD without counting the price difference (one is typically 500ish the other 200-300ish) what would be the best option for HIFI?
That is easily one of the best looking Klipsch models in recent years.

Best ever factory one for me.

Personal preference, so for me would be MEH horn with single CD since 1.4" isn't big enough for 300 Hz with any real fullness [true life-like vocals], so the pioneers used dual or quad 1.4-2" this low.
Worse, the smaller the room, the smaller the horn, hence the larger the driver ideally needs to be, so this is where the co-ax/duplex increasing becomes the preferred choice with at most, a small WG to blend it through the co-ax, woofer XO BW.

The Klipsch Fifteens never made it to production.
Quote from the Klipsch forum:
"These are confirmed to be DOA for now. Fortes are doing too well, active solutions are doing not so well, no reason to try to shoehorn them in the mix".

No reason to buy any of the BMS coaxes, now that the DCX464 has become available.
If you must... buy them used because these are offered plenty from second, third or ....... owner.
Why would that be?

Any idea of cost though?
I have seen it on the web page of a German dealer for slightly less than 600 Euros. Not cheap but not that expensive either if it is really good - given the fact that we get a HF and a midrange driver at once.

It certainly seems like the future regardless of price.
- Home
- Loudspeakers
- Multi-Way
- Is it possible to cover the whole spectrum, high SPL, low distortion with a 2-way?
