Mark already covered this with detail, but just for posterity:
The 0 pf is provided for when oscillation occurs. I didn't see it in the sample
units.
Also note that resistors are XXX plus multiplier: 1001 is 1K.
😎
Not to step on toes, but here are my files.
Board is 2.85" x 9.725" and the Gerbers are in the format that pcbway.com
seems to be happy with.
Hello Mr. Pass,
I am wondering if the layout as per above post is missing R35 and if so, is there a reason for it?
Regards
Prasi
There is only one person who knows exactly why Nelson Pass included C9 in his PCB layout, and that person is not me.
Ahh, but you can guess.
🙂
Dear Mr. Pass,
some comments / hints about R35, thanks?

@manniraj,
@HerrErnie,
@yuujin,
please leave here note if you got the boards, thanks!

@ZM,
in schem is a R35 but not on the board.

if Papa omitted it , who cares 🙂
I can bet that reason for having it in first place , was much more hilarious than reason for letting it out later
(That's "just" 220R in series with 22K , being connected to voltage reference ; so , 1% isn't much to be left out ; on the other side 220R is much compared with also series R3 (1K) , but 1K is already low in value so no practical difference between 1K vs 1K+220R ; who knows - maybe Papa put it in first place while laying out pcb - to jump across some trace , instead of jumper)

@ZM,

Thanks for you explanation ... you could be right ... so (far) I hadn't thought about it, thanks!

all good ........ you can't never be relaxed when Papa is in question ...... he's cheatin' all the time
- see there is no GND reference for input in schm in first post ? almost as he is deliberate in constant inducing train of thoughts .........

Hello ZM,
So in that case can it be a 10 Ohm ground lift resistor? If required ofcourse..

@ZM,
Thanks again.
For GND i thought that is one of the both connector pads right from C7, the lower one goes directly between the caps on the right side.

R35 is (was) a bootstrap resistor whose purpose is to increase the amplifier's input impedance.
Which may not be necessary if the person to whom you sold the amp board, drives it from the wiper of a volume control pot, as the links in Nelson Pass's post #530 indicate.

Hello Everyone. Thinking about ordering some boards from JLCPCB from Papa's gerbers. They would be 2.0mm thick, red mask, 2oz copper, ENIG. Cost would be about $7 per board + shipping, assuming we hit 20 boards total. I'd like to keep it at 20 boards since this would be the first time I've attempted a group buy of any kind. Looking at international rates it looks like the cheapest is USPS at $35 per shipment. Not sure if that includes all customs and duties. I've seen various stories in other group buys regarding that sort of thing.
Let me know if anyone is interested!

USPS much cheaper in a padded envelope for small packages.

Howdy. I just shipped some PCBs from California USA to international destinations. I wrapped each board tightly in photocopier paper (to prevent surface scratches) and mailed them in "#2 Bubble Mailer" envelopes which I bought (here).
When I trotted the mailers down to my local US Post Office, the clerk told me I could send the parcels using First Class Package International Service. This costs about USD 14.50 and varies a bit depending on weight and distance to destination. Attached below is my receipt from shipping a bubble mailer containing 3 PCBs, to a diyAudio member in South Africa.
This service does NOT include package tracking or insurance, and you DO need to fill out the postal service's Form 2976-R which is the US Customs declaration. "Gift" "PCB Sample" "Total Value=$4.00" appears to get the board to the recipient with a minimum of extra hassle at their end.

I just placed an order for 10 boards with Pcbway.com. should be here in 6 or 7 days. Based on PaPa's gerbers. Will let people know.
