Well, clearly this is not a subject for your interests and maybe two others. It is in fact a direction I have moved towards for decades and with excellent results.

Now there is a book on the subject. So, many more can quickly try to move in that direction and find out. Probably a DIY'er will be first. Like Dadod.

Just looked at a circuit in another thread - EF2 - with the driver tie resistors set at c. 2k Ohms.

I used a TEF on the 797 and I don't know if anyone else ever did on an IC op-amp. The need for low supply voltage and near rail output range kills it.

We needed some calming this evening, so some 50s Sinatra on vinyl. Have decided you can't listen to Sinatra on CD (and pretty sure Scott can't face listening to Sinatra on ANYTHING ).



Been reading Gerzon's articles on Stereo shuffling and planning some major tone control experiments. Will be fun.

What's the difference if PNP driving Darlington NPN's? In my book the base current errors still see beta cubed and the collector of the PNP gets a free bootstrap from the output, and it worked.

Close, not a hater but also not a single example in my collection. Nat King Cole would be a good substitute and I never tire of Cab Calloway. My wife bought tickets to the Superbowl for my birthday, do you know how many posh carts that could buy (and TT to boot)?

Absolutely, so easy to discover stuff these days, I use Deezer quite a bit and it's getting better all the time, can now find some rare Ornette Coleman albums that weren't there, or anywhere else, just a couple of months ago

Aged 15 I had to buy a copy of the Irving Berlin songbook as we were doing 'Blythe spirit'. I didn't keep it at the time as was too young to appreciate anything about it.



But let's be clear, 'like' and 'appreciate' are two totally different things that just sometimes cross on the venn diagram
