Thank Prasi, the second value is amp (I) right ??Hello Hicoco,
If you use higher values in a 250W power amp, the power dissipation and voltage drop across R2, will increase tremendously. Following text gives the example.
R2,ohm..... Power,W ..... Del V R2
0.1 ..... 6.1 ..... 0.8
0.15 ..... 9.1 ..... 1.2
0.22 ..... 13.3 ..... 1.7
0.33 ..... 20.0 ..... 2.6
0.47 ..... 28.4 ..... 3.7
so if i understand right and i have under 6.1 amps i will not need resistor

second value is the power dissipated in R2 and third value is the voltage drop across R2. it shows that with 0.22 ohms, you will need a power rating of atleast 15 to 20 Watts.
Mr Prasi,
What is the price of one PS PCB Board?. I am from India

reading your question again, here is the answer.
if you have lower current demand from amp, then you can go for higher value of R2 and thus achieve lower psu ripple.
CRC configuration helps you to minimize psu ripple at the cost of loss of headroom and practically managing dissipation in R2 itself.
While lower ripple is desirable, it then becomes a question of managing dissipation in R2 and PSU voltage drop caused by R2.
I hope I have made things slightly clear.

Prasi, I just received it today!
Thank you very much, nice heavy duty PC boards.....I will send you a pm

Hi prasi,
I am confused, i will use MUR860G, do i need C3, C3', C4, C4', C5, C5', C6, C6'??
Thanks

Hello Hicoco,
MUR860G is an ultrafast recovery diode. So if you are not using the CS, RS, C2 snubber, then use C3,C4,C5,C6.
On the other hand, if you had used MSR860G, which is a soft recovery diode, then there is no need to use C3, C4, C5, C6.
please refer the schematic.

I would like to purchase two boards.
A couple of years ago I purchased 4 United Chemicon EKMH350VQT563MB80T on a whim.
Despite whatever Mouser's website says, they have 5 leads and I can't find the specs in the data sheet (35V models stop at 22,000uf on the data sheet)- but am holding one in my hand - they do exist.
Spec's listed on the Mouser website are
56,000uf
35V
ESR 8 mOhms
Ripple Current 8.29 A
40mmx80mm
If you have any suggestions for building with these (or reason to NOT build with them😕).
Maybe something more robust than a CL-60 for mitigating power on thump.
If that's obscene for the capacitance, maybe dual mono PSU's with two transformers? When building dual mono would one half the transformer size - instead of a single 400VA, 2x 200VA?
Not sure what amp I'm going to build next, probably an M2, or F6,
