CRC Power Supply (Class A amplifier)

Now in stereo with low ESR LC cap bank. Believe it or not this is being used as a very powerful headphone amp to drive up to 4w into 50ohms HiFiman HE-6.

Can you share some more info on your ESR LC cap bank, schematics and/or connection diagram would be nice to many, thanks a lot!

That is actually a cap bank layout by @prasi
- you might want to ask him if it’s available.

It accepts a N=20 of low cost 1000uF and since they are in parallel, the equivalent series resistance is reduced by dividing the single unit ESR by N. So if typical ESR of standard cap is 65mOhm / 20 is 3.3mOhm ESR.

There is also a provision for a CMC (common mode choke) and some resistors to help clean up the noise in the PSU.

Hello Eliad and other enthusiast's,

To follow zman01 post, I have to offer you my Project 16 CRC boards . I have 6 of these available.

I also have 2 of the CRCRC boards available for better filtering, and, if you want top line I have 2 of the LT4320 CRC using TO-220 MFets.

I also have 2 CapMx boards from xrk Audio's Shop if you are in need of these.

Please see attached pic of each of the pcb's.

Best regards,
MM
