usb drive ?
The current build instructions build in place on the running sdcard...no usb drive needed
Again, see moodeaudio.org and scroll down to 'Support' for the latest build instructions. 🙂

It can do either RTFM dude 😀
** Write OS build directly to the boot SDCard (y/n)? 😛

Lol...at least my Pi's work... perhaps you could start at the beginning...

Remember to untick “automatically parse links in text” when posting web addresses you want people to type, or it mucks about with them
At least the content of the link is preserved, but the unsuspecting may not think to mouse over it. It's too bad we can't permanently disable the automagic.

Hmmm did you stop the process earlier ?
Looks like apt corruption ... could you please try :
sudo dpkg --configure -a
And after that, just reboot ...
Hi,
moOde release 4.0 is available at moodeaudio.org. The download includes moOde 4.0 Sources and a Build Recipe for making the custom Linux OS that runs moOde. An automated OS Image Builder is available in the Support section.
Thank you Tim for the great job done!
I think that's a cached css data from previous versions problem, try clearing your browser cache and reloading. I use Chrome almost exclusively for testing various screen configurations and development so I'd be surprised if that kind of rendering error survived until release, but anything's possible. 🙂Edit: there's some sort of rendering problem on chromium browser....

Looks great on firefox 😉
Talking about dog slow, the expand SD option doesn't appear to be working, was going to build another card for a pi w...
For Pi/Moode, does it make any difference to use MBR or GPT when you initialize a new SSD drive in Windows 10? Still using SATA to USB adapter.
@Bengali
This is really a question about Raspbian and not moOde.
Based on a quick web search, I'd suggest Raspbian has been able to deal with GPT disks for at least the last 2 or 3 years. Note that some familiar utilities don't grok GPT, notably fdisk (but you can install gdisk to perform similar housekeeping chores on a GPT disk).
For more details you should be posting your question to the raspberrypi.org forums or some other Raspbian forum.

Kent
Quick update to my previous post (I'm not sure I'm even posting correctly in this forum): I refreshed my [Chrome] browser, and now everything is working. I think I had remnants of the old beta12 showing up, which prevented me from getting the prompt for the playlist name. Pls ignore previous question I posed...
Hi,
If you ever want to restore the Default Playlist its in the sources download.

A couple of stations to add
Amys FM - 320kbps stream http://94.23.222.12:8024/amysfm
Amys FM Spirit of Soul - 320kbps stream http://91.121.59.45:10073/amysfmspiritofsoul

Didn't make it into Moode 4.0 final, alas.

mosbrief is showing this:

How do I stop it? I don't want the UI! 😛
Hi,
You would need to use the manual Build Recipe if you want to surgically omit parts of the Build but then you end up with a broken build since moOde code expects all the underlying pieces to be there, even if they are not turned on in the Config Screens.
Personally, I'm only able to provide support for a full build 🙂

Hi,
That error occurs if the machine was manually rebooted during any section of the Build where the package manager is running. It produces a non-recoverable, broken build.
Generally, if the Build is interrupted by a manual reboot or shutdown then it ends up being bricked. Sort of like powering off your Router or Smartphone during a firmware update :-0

Hey Tim,
Small curious question 😉
if i want to add some custom cover for station added manually (no cover found), did i need to edit the SQL row entry in addition to put the img file in the right place ?

@Tim - all good now, looked like it was stuck in some sort of 'build loop'. I deleted everything and started from scratch....
@Swizzle - thanks yes was cache, using Chromium on Linux not Chrome on some bloated commercialised cr@P 😉
@Drone7 - thanks for your tips and your fine English promoting your collection of PIs 😛
Nice day y'all, even the Trump supporters who don't appear to understand the concept of destroying 50% of the 'natural world' (yes animals included) out there in the last 50 years 😱

Hi Tim,
Just wanted to let you know that with version 4 bluetooth seems to work better. I managed to connect to my computer and my smart phone on the first try.
Remy
Nice!
I still can't get my MacBook Air to connect but my other IOS devices no problem. There will be an update to the Bluetooth stack coming in one of the next moOde releases 🙂

Hi, Phil.
Both streams play here. Of course every moOde radio station needs a logo, right? I scrapped the attached logos from their website. I'll pass rectified versions (size and aspect ratio adjusted as needed) along to Tim.
