What about this ? 25-2234S - 25mm Hi-Res Tweeter - TB SPEAKER CO., LTD.What affordable tweeter i can use in A26 kit? May be Seas H1189 or Wavecor TW030WA11-01?
But something like the Wavecor or the seas DXT, both with the waveguide, would be a better match with the 25 cm woofer made by Seas
What about this ?
I don't think it's a good idea.
Wavecor TW030WA11-01 looks like great pretender for the kit by specs. But a few information. Seas H1189 is good as it seems too.
But the most disturbing moment for me is 10" Seas A26RE4 capability to perfom in midrange region. It bothers me.
Well, "it holds" till 1 ( 1k5) kHz then it looses...
Ideally you'd need a 25 cm waveguide to find the same dispersion characteristic at crossover frequency. But it's too big and the nuisance of the horn-effect might be not acceptable ( because of the 3 " driver inside which is too big ).
Till 20 cm diameter ( effective :16-17 cm )it's acceptable, as I did an experiment with an 8" and a 2 " in such big waveguide ( actually I have some dead speakers so ...).
I stopped using woofers bigger than 6 1/2 " 🙄

"The TW030WA11, which is the 4-Ω version, was featured in the November 2014 Voice Coil issue."
What's cooking with the A26 today BK? 🙂
Made the important baffle cuts. The vent was a bit fiddly, but came out great. Hopefully I can make some progress on the bracing tomorrow.

Looking good.
"Music" to their ears? 😀
I'm sure the neighbors love my weekend outdoor routing. 😀

Nice work indeed - looks like something I might build -or already have? - after hundreds of pairs, it gets hard to remember, and I almost never have my camera around in the shop.
Are the speakers going to play some music this weekend? 🙂
No chance! But I will cut 22 pieces of damping material and fine tune the baffle and woofer-brace distance. Getting closer.
I spent today delivering an amp and a set of 3-ways I bought new in the '70s to my 16yr old nephew. He's taken an interest in old school rock and I want to encourage that. Not sure how I managed to hang onto those speakers through all those years and all those moves, but they do still sound good in that vintage kinda way!

Good on'ya! 🙂

Well, you'll soon have a SOTA incarnation...
No-Rez foam cut to size and mitered.
IIRC first time I am seeing mitered lining material. 🙂

The stuff that can't be seen shall be as nicely done as the stuff that can be seen. Maybe even nicer. That's my mantra. 😀
