Hi-end DSP based multi-channel integrated Preamp/Crossover/DAC project

For example the LCD display that I was using is no longer available so I have had to redesign the board to accommodate another one with the same LCD driver but different pin-outs.

There are standard pin-out configurations. Best identify the most common for ease of mind. Perhaps, also: LCD is a bit old tech. OLED displays are nicer (self-illuminating and prettier).

They are only standard for alphanumeric displays but not for graphic displays. OLED is very expensive for a given pixel resolution compared to LCD. I can get a replacement LCD display which has the same pinouts but it uses a different LCD driver so requires a firmware rewrite or I can get an LCD display with the same LCD driver chip but different header so the board now has provision for both headers but only one will be installed.

Hi. Any updates on when we can buy your preamp?

Hi Tytte

I've just come back from an overseas trip but unfortunately the board assembler hadn't completed a small production run of DSP boards before I left but they were waiting for me when I got back 😉 Now these boards have not been prototyped beforehand so hopefully there are not too much dramas in getting them up and running. A bit of a gamble here. Some of these boards have already been spoken for but once I am confident with the new design I will offer a pre-order for these and for the other less complicated ancillary boards. Sorry about the unavoidable delays but these things take time to get right.

cheers

All good things comes to those who wait they say. If I read you correctly there have lately made been some changes to the design and added features. Can you please (when you get the time and if specs are ready), sum up boards and specs in a new post?

I've just completed the last of the tests of the B2 revision hardware and it all checks out fine and the board is working well. Still working on firmware tweeks but the ADC works straight out of the box and the ES9028PRO DAC sounds great too as you would expect 😉

Will finish assembly and testing of the other 9 boards some of which are already spoken for. The ES9028 DAC's are not yet available in production quantities so can't really put an ETA on it at this stage.
