Hi Tibi,

Finally, I have fixed the problem by follow your instruction and completed the first test. But there are noise of "po" when changing volume between -15 ~ -16dB as well as between -31 ~ -32dB. What could be the problem? Are these noises caused by a bad relay or any bad component? How to fix the problem?

Thanks for your input.
I tried several Philips devices including VR-256. All exhibit the same behavior after programming. All buttons work with the exception of the direct input commands. I tried programming different buttons to those commands as well. One peculiar thing....when you press one of the direct select buttons the controller will freeze up until you press a channel +/- button. After that it will continue to work.

Quite hard to reproduce, but we have traced down this bug and a firmware update is now available at vicol audio : MAYA - your ultimate volume-controller
Thank you for reporting this to us.

OK, Thanks, I really appreciate your support!
I am ready to update firmware but have a question. Should the Maya be powered up or would it get power from the USBtinyISP? There is a jumper on the USBtiny to be removed in the case of not powering the AVR.
Thanks, Mike

It works both ways. However if you power from USBtinyISP please remove display and relay board and connect USBtinyISP to high current usb port on your PC.

Here are a couple pics of my Maya implementation.

Would any knowledgeable folks here mind taking a look at my Front Panel Express FPD file to help me verify if I have it laid out correctly? It is very similar to the builds done by Lemon and Plan.

Here are a couple pics of my Maya implementation.

That looks great! I really need to learn to work with wood better!

I have updated Maya to latest firmware and we are not quite there yet with respect to this bug. Programming the direct inputs seems to work fine but in use when a direct input button is pressed the display indicates that the change is made but the signal does not change. Sometimes it is attenuated but the same input keeps playing.

I am using two boards in a balanced configuration. The hot signal is connected to the right inputs and the cold signal is connected to the left inputs.

Please see the attached file for programming new firmware.
You are right : the new call did not changes one variable inside that routine , wonder how i did not see it ( me sad ... ).It should be solved now.
Can you test and give feedback to us?
