Hi all!
Still collecting parts for building the apex ax10.
One question about the led. It should be a 5mm red led.
What If and Vf? 1,7v and 2mA or 2.1v and 20mA? Or something else?
Best Regards //Daniel
Use 1,5 - 1,8V LED.

Use 1,5 - 1,8V LED.

Thanks, i will order a 1.7v standard led.

APEX , in PSP100 circuit is there Current limitation or only short-circuit protection ?

There is no current limitation, relay disconnect speakers if load is under 2 ohms includes short circuit. I use limiters only for PA amps.

Hi , mr. Mile .
Thank you for your fast answers .
OK , i will make PCB from post #23 DC Servo MOSFET Amplifier
What i must change for relay disconnect speakers if load is under 4 ohms includes short circuit and for +- 42 V power supply ?
Regards !

Is T3 in post6859 the low ohms/short circuit detect?
Could you explain how this works?
I think , that T3 and T4 monitors the voltage drop over the two chanell of the power supplyR4,5,6,7,8,9 (L and R) and sent to the T6 - the protection of DC voltage output .
Apex i can use PA Protect for A100 ??
Some like a A33 - connect to emitter
And any sugestion for BD241 - i don't have :/
PA Protect can be use only for B500 and H900.

Damn 🙁 I made today ...
If i add this from AX20 ?
Or, i must made NE555 protect??
And another questin, if made AX20 whitch one protect must be use for them?
AX20 have out "pro" and PA Protect have in "pro"

If you add over current detect circuit from AX20 you can use PA Protect or NE555 Protect.
OK Thanks.
I must change something?
A100 supply is +/-49V DC
PA protect +/-15 VDC and use relay 12VDC
I dont use LM7xxx because i have transformer only 11-0-11 AC and use them for XL2 and PA Protect now.

This amp is super easy to build - went together faster than any amp I have built. I am still waiting for the output stages but have some 2SC5200/2SCA1943's slipped in their place to get a feel how big this amp is. It is small! Smaller than a typical TPA311x class D amp.

Since I don't have the latFETs in hand yet, a good friend of mine who does have them just built the FX8 with boards I gave him and it works well I am told. My Hitachi latFETs should be here in a few more days. In the meantime here are some images of his build. Anyhow, it can now be confirmed that the 5cmx5cm FX8 PCB works.

FX8 mod
As I know bimo made some modification on AX11. Ivanlukic wrote "Bimo's De Luxe version of AX11.
I changed the values of few components. PCB design is original Anistardi's. This is the best version
of AX11. Highly recommended!" The modified circuit shows pretty impressive result, see the picture above:

I'm really curious how this mod will work for FX8. The basic simulation of FX8 clearly indicates the overshots
on the edge of squarewave what Terry measured earlier. So the problem comes not from the layout.

Bypassed the 22k feedback resistor with a 5,6pF capacitor the overshots are gone. Simulated squarewaves and AC bode:

Here is the modded version of FX8 based on bimo's concept. Will this mod work? Any opinion? Can anyone make
a more accurate simulation using LT Spice? Thank You.

I don't have an O-scope to verify but I would not mind adding a 5.6pF bypass cap if that improves the sound quality.
1)Schematic values not visible. Please post a visible one.😕As I know bimo made some modification on AX11. Ivanlukic wrote "Bimo's De Luxe version of AX11.

2)Where is the pcb that you using?🙂
Sorry my friend,i mean the schematic for deluxe AX11 isn't visible🙁Better resolution:
Please post this again,if it isn't a big effort post the link for pcb(PCB design is original Anistardi's) that you using too🙂

PCB? I'll design a really bonsai style PCB using smd parts. Vishay 1% smd resistors, Nichicon NICHICON UCL1C102MNL1GS:
UCL1C102MNL1GS - NICHICON - ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR, 1000UF, 16V, 20%, SMD | Farnell element14
In LTP worth to try 2SA798 (Sansui AU217 uses these) Hopefully these are'nt fake.
