He escaped Paris to follow SY's advices by satelite celulars to drive wine road through Conques to Spain Compotel ... our 66 road ! Aahaha maybe he didn't like Paris or the insolent frenchs ! But I hope he found some peace at the New Year's day in the street of Paris ! All the beautifull towns in the world help to this !

My wife does her best to keep the area around Rheims healthy and vibrant in an economic sense. We've even stayed there a few times.
We prefer grower Champagne rather than the industrial. NYE, we stayed in and enjoyed a 2008 Cedric Bouchard Inflorescence BdN at midnight. Ever since our visit there (with Jan Didden, Morgan Jones, and Raymond Koonce), my wife has measured all of our expenditures in units of Cedrics. "You paid WHAT for those drivers??? That's three Cedrics!"
I'm not too much an enthusiast of Champagne but Ruinart is my "every day" one ! Not too much comon as a little fruty, women like it also a lot!
Sometimes I enjoy "extra brut" cuvée or old Perignons when offered (the best ones I ever drink, but I'm not a champagne coinaisseur !)
