yeah, but you've seen George - could give Vladimir Putin a run for his money with the shirtless photos - sans waxing of course
Lol, I have a good laugh directly from the heart.
* I hit 22° Celsius again outside on my deck today. Great weather, sun, on Vancouver Island for the last 4-5 days now.
And @ night we hit around zero (-2 last night). ...But by mid-afternoon it goes up few degrees over 20, on my deck. I don't live near the airport.

Miami is a fair drive from Vancouver Island
Our family made the drive from Miami to Victoria and back in a 1968 Plymouth station wagon.....it was 1969. I think it about a month, stopping at campgrounds all along the way. All of my Polaroid pictures from the trip have long since faded to brown on grey.
1,000 Christmas trees stolen from Kendall Costco
That store is about 5 miles from the mall where I took guitar lessons as a kid. Of course Costco didn't exist then.

Last year it was 20 F (about -6 C) on Thanksgiving day. Today it was 65 F (about 18 C) and sunny. I did however put a shirt on to go to Walmart this evening....The place was rather tame, and nothing convinced me to get out my smartphone. I picked up a couple of $59 mountain bikes for Sherri and I.

Gee guys...I'm heading for NYC for Christmas but it's hitting 35C here already and I expect up to 40C by the time I leave. I think my balls are gonna drop off with the shock..!
Uncannily, I am actually a Scot so Chris's joke was spot on! Been a long time in Oz though. And me dear old Dad loved Harris Tweed...
May be a bit itchy down below though.

Yeah, once popped out of permafrost hiding, balls start to grow on you, pushing them back in will be impossible.

The (Outer) Island's Fling is a much more abandoned version of the highland's Fling.........and you clearly know the reason! (Origin of 'Fling' as in dance, is the preliminary movements necessary to fling the Harris Tweed js as far as is possible .......especially when the midges are out.😉

you could always wear some thermals under that kilt, dearie 😉
I do have a cashmere tartan jockstrap.
Harris Tweed is better.....gives you that clannish feeling.

First snow here this wintertime, next week it will vanish for sure.

Yes, I immediately took that as "don't eat the......."
Here we are entering the third day of 40 degrees and raining.....I'd rather have some snow. Forecast calls for several more rainy days with the possibility of snow near the end of the week.
Yesterday I assembled the $59 mountain bike I got at Walmart Thursday evening. It wasn't much fun sliding it around in the cold mud. I need one dry day to adjust the brakes and shifter and test the need for the $4 "two year replacement warrantee."

Whale-mart and real bargains, just the thought makes me go hypotension.

especially near the pubs!.

Don't make me take my camera into our Walmart Thursday evening......Please no!. I'm pretty sure there are enough of those images online already......Whale-mart and real bargains, just the thought makes me go hypotension
As I stated I was at our local WM at 5:30 PM Thanskgiving Day for the yearly feeding frenzy that begins Thursday at 6 PM.
I went specifically for a pair of mountain bikes for Sherri and I. I learned at a young age that, like tube amps, I can kill a bicycle in a matter of hours. My parents quit buying me new ones an age 9 or so, so I learned to build my own out of scrap parts....again like my early guitar amps. So, a new bike for $59 WITH a 2 year free replacement guarantee.....OK, I'll bite.
I stuffed the pair of bikes into my car and went back inside to follow the women (wife and daughter) around. I wasn't going to buy anything, and after about an hour and a half we headed toward the exit. The store was relatively empty for "feeding frenzy day" so I went over to the grocery section to get some bananas....and there it was, a stack of 40 inch 1080P LED TV's for $149 each. Now, I don't watch much TV, and we have 3 of the damn things already, but I thought it would make a good computer monitor, so I picked one up and carried it, and the bananas to the checkout.
The TV DID make an excellent screen for doing PC board layouts. Heck, I could sit across the room and lay out a tube amp. SMD stuff still requires a closer look.
OK, so when the two females asked me do spend the day with them "black Friday" shopping, I agreed. This was a BIG surprise. It even made me get out my camera phone in Walmart. Yes, there are plenty of Walmart pictures on the internet, but none like THESE!
We went to 4 Walmarts in 3 states on Black Friday. All looked the same. So did all the other major stores with one exception. All were ghost towns....no shoppers. Piles of TV's PC's, laptops, even iPADS were sitting on the floor unsold. The customers were not there. The exception was Kohl's that place was mobbed.
