i use two in parallel for 10W dissipation in my preamp and temp is fine🙂
Ok. I will also try the mundorfs...
They should sound very natural, not??
In pre amp 10W disipation?
Does anyone know what Max Vds is for the 2SK82?
Thx.
In the data sheet it says V DGO (V) 240.

DHT filament bias 🙂
The Mundorfs are only 33ohms, to put two in parallel I
need 40ohms...Is there any other good wirewound???
I searched on ebay, there are some russian and in metal housing,
are this any goood???

those in metal housing are generally more than good enough
Thank you.
But I am very intrigued to use the caddock mp metal film,
they are non inductive in relation to wirewound...
these 40R 50W mills wirewound are not inductive too and sounds better ( to my ears)
just try both Mills are cheap and make your decision..
resistors_mills_mrc
why not just use some choke load ?
hammond have 200MH at 2amp or 1H at 1AMP

Thanks for your info on mills...!
Check out the Vishay RCH50 too for source resistor
I also will. Thanks...
So I alredy have three types...😎
A question here about the bias supply:
Would it be possible to use the bias supply schematic in http://www.audiohobby.com/pdf/lamp 193V.pdf but with an 18V trafo winding instead of the 15V in the schematic without modification or should some values be changed?

Visually very nice...!
Advice, you should listen to Michael and Zen and use thicker L plate.
I use 5mm and is working very good. But I read somewhere it shouldnt be more then 6mm.

Now to my project...I have increased the current flow and
can now use the mundorf supreme 20W resistors...
I have ordered them, will see how they perform...

feel free to use 18Vac without any modification ; of course - voltage of first cap must be at least 35V

I hope you are not believing in everything written on the net
some ppl are way more dangerous than Tom Sawyer , when pursuing others to paint that fence

same as with heatsink - heatspreader can't be too big ......
