Hi MassimoRicardo, do you use a pair of SSLV 1.2R even in this project?
I read you are going to build a SSLV 1.1, are you going to compare that shunt reg vs the 1.2R?
P.S. 2k2 in lieu of 1.8K (R11) ?
P.P.S. Happy new Year!
I tend to use V12R in all my builds... IMO it is the best (The Optimae was even better "had magic properties" but was too prone to oscilating)
Off course I did not try all options of the SSLV 1.1 so I can not comment.
R11 yes
I will delete Q5, I will use C2=15.2nF, R2,R3=3R, R6 3M3, R10 6.4K, R8 43R, R11 1.2K, R12 trimmer arrangement like in the folded pdf.
Like attached pic?

In my humble opinion to don't worry about the best and easy solution is to buy a BiB in the Tea-Bag GB.
Salas, I have five 7.8mA and four 7.7mA K170, could I use?
Sorry, exactly Ricardo have five 7.8mA and four 7.7mA K170, could I use?
Who knows a source for SK369BL?
As we said before, search on ebay for those that are on ammo tape. I bought some not on tape and came out fakes.

What gave them away as being fakes?

Too high IDSS.
Too high IDSS.
Thanks, George. The reason I ask is that I also ordered a stack of 2SK170s from the Internet and was wondering if they were genuine (the seller said they were Toshiba). Idss measures what they should be (around 6ma) - so I guess I can assume they are "real"? 🙂

Thanks for advice George.
The k170 are on their way Merlin 🙂
Thank you Ricardo.

Around 6mA should be GR type. If they have the right IDSS chances are they are real. Better buy from Spencer, a member here, to be sure.
Optimae ? 😕 Do you mean the 1.2 first release?I tend to use V12R in all my builds... IMO it is the best (The Optimae was even better "had magic properties" but was too prone to oscilating)

Thanks, George - can you tell me how I can contact "Spencer"?
