i think your calculation is wrong.
if center only 1mm gap AL is @ 125nH (13turns for 22uH)
1mm gap all AL is @ 45nH (22 turns for 22uH)

you can use UF4004 or any ultra fast diode with min 2A capacity.
not 15 Ohm it is 1.5 Ohm 0.5W resistor
i am not tested IRFP250 @ 400KHz.tested only 250KHz no problem found tested 300KHz working but over heated and sound not good may be gate resistor value is high(39 Ohm) anyway further i am not experimented.
for 1K resistor you will get @250KHz you need a DSO(digital storage oscilloscope)for finding frequency

uf400X/mur120 =1 A but it will work
if you want 2 ampere use mur220

Uf400x will work but it will heat up little. use parallel 2xUF400x diodes. use leg height min. 5mm length both side.
