looking at my budget i think the peerless SLS10 fits the best. and they preform well. however i dont find project where its used in a 3way. so does anybody know something?

as tweeter i like the new seas DXT with its wave guide, its sounds very open en big.

for the mid maybe also a seas mid driver?

I highly recommend Monacor SP38 Neo 15.
Affordable price (about 100-130$ each), excellent characteristics (8 Ohm, 100db, 36Hz fs, good resistance curve, etc). Deep bass and wonderful sound too!
I used them for my 330litre 2 way speakers. You can easily go down to 29Hz and cross it up to 2000Hz with a 2nd order filter since there are no big excursions throughout it's mid band response. In your case (3 way - around 500-800Hz cross) the result will be even better and you can go 1st order too...

2 pics of my speakers:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

heej npetrallis your links doesn't work.

the veritas look great. i have only my doubts about the mid. can it compare to the 2x10" woofers?

i think I'll go for the dayton rs tmww design HTGuide Forum - Dayton RS WMTW Center & TMWW Mains

why?
it fits well in my budget
its good documented, and there is a lot of experience with it.
a good first time build speaker
looks great.

but how it sounds?? i can only read the reviews. and they are good

Sorry, i am attaching the photos again...

Thanks! now i can see them 😉 that are big speakers. kinda PA like. how do the preform in the living room? not to much/big ?

are the people that have any experience with the dayton RS TMWW design ?

They also sound big 🙂 filling the living room perfectly.
Not very dependant of the room and giving an excellent "live" feeling.

The woofer is a real bargain, you can combine it with other mid-high frequency solutions.

And how do they behave when you play movie's?

Ii have also a question about placing a tweeter. In the dayton rs tmww design they placed the tweeter of center. I was wondering if i could place it back in center? I know it has effect on the sound. But i wonder if its possible without changing the filter.

The klipsch speaker looks impressive! And has also a high rendement! But rare to get!?

I second this suggestion. Dr Mark has been designing speakers for 40(50?)+ years and the coherency of his designs is excellent.

Another great crossover designer is Dennis Murphy (Who commercially designed the Salk Songtower, HT2, HT3, V3, and Soundscape). He also has a design using the Peerless SLS:

Both are going to be superb speakers. I would expect Dr Mark's to be a bit more "optimized" in the upper bass / lower midrange and Dennis Murphy's be a bit more "optimized" in the upper registers based on how they like to voice things - their own experiences as musicians, but both really aim for accurate, lifelike sounding loudspeakers with flat on axis response, and both, really should be a great choice.

Peerless 830668 10"

I'm using the Peerless 830668 10" in a sealed 1.5cu feet cabinet. I like them a lot and I will say they are excellent value. I can't give you a valuable comparison with other setups but I think the specs speak for themselves in this case.

I use a 3-way active setup and crossover at 450Hz. The blue curve is a nearfield bass measurement that shows just how deep this woofer goes in my cabinet. The red curve is the response with an added shelving filter that I use for bass boost like a Linkwitz Transform. My Bass Boost sounds great at normal listening levels but produces big excursions at very high listening volumes on bass heavy material. That results in some distortion and on top of all windows shaking doesn't help the clarity of presentation. If you plan on playing really loud you may want to look into a 12". Adding a second woofer also adds unnecessary complications and at reasonable levels is really not needed.
