The boards in your quote are singel sided (one side) only.
The boards offered in the group buy are 2 sided. Offcource there will be a difference!!
I was informed that there are taxes because of paypall...5 bucks
more 8 percent..brazilian bank tranference tax...well, ther are things i never knew about...well..there are costs...seems expensive but ask the one about all costs he had...if you have not already asked him about.
My boards have a group buy too...but you can ask my manufacturer the cost price to check...you will feel pity of me and may send me a piece of cake and some groceries to compensate me to work for free.
I was surprised, there are other costs, not only board manufacturer cost.
If you check my prices in brazil, they are lower than the prices offered to the international community..first reason is shipment cost..in brazil is cheap.... to international the price is from 10 to 16 USD..also for brazil we have no pay pall and bank taxes... people send money on line from bank to bank and no cost in such kind of operation...also we are manufacturing boards here..no international money transference....prices in Brasil are lower because cost is lower too.
Check everything not to be unfair..be carefull to check if you have not already done that...i know the value is huge, seems that things are not normal, but please, check things once again till you have sure about all costs the group buy opener have.
I have not readed the entire thread..so, i may be well informed about what is going on...

I believe you are the main instigator of the "reputation killing". My issue with you is from an outsider's point of view. I have read every post of the thread over a 3 day period. I have also read the associated threads. From some of your posts you have evidently NOT read the whole threads, but have jumped in with accusations.
I will not enter discussions with you about your Ee qualifications or your experience. I only take issue with your methods. --- It is wrong to make accusations of dishonesty in order to gain ground on someone else's venture.

Correct, I'm the person who most aggressively and continuously points out what's wrong here. This is not intended to be reputation killing. Nagys does his best to ruin his reputation. I just assist a bit. If he behaved a different way he wouldn't ruin his reputation. By the way: Somehow I ruin my reputation here.
Unlike you I did not only follow the threads for only three days but for several weeks and read many hundred posts. Maybe not every single one but I've seen every page of the lengthy thread and I also read the whole group buy thread.
My engineering skills aren't to be discussed here and mostly irrelevant to my activity here. Ask the other engineers whether they agree or not. This is what matters, not whether I have a degree or not. I can assure you I have a lot of business with PCBs and know what I'm talking about. My methods here aren't nice, I agree. I'm very mean here. Maybe it needs something wrong to fight something wrong.
I agree I would like to see a happy end here. It's up to Nagys and bigpanda.
A single prototype could have avoided all this situation from happening. Also a better explanation about the costs involved. I am sure that everybody here is hoping to see the results, and trying to help somehow. But some guys could have been more polite and less imperious.

It's pretty obvious if you have been following both threads. Some have taken it personal for not liking how Nagys went about this thread. Sad part it looks like most of the problems with the pcb had been worked out then the pcb policeman came in and questioned bigpanda's creditbility. To me bigpanda lost his credibility by not responding to the allegations, bigpanda?

Things were very clear from the beginning: the PCB design was done during the GB and people involved were asking several times to the GB to check the design. Maybe somebody arrived late and misunderstood this point. I’m in and I assume this risk.
People who want a no risk board seems a better idea to wait for a next GB when the boards are tested.
People involved in this development spent a lot of time and effort and deserve respect. I hope they come back soon an this to continue in the direction it had.
