Preamp
Hello,
My almost finished preamp combining aleph P1.7 and 2 stages of a X-ono, just tested with my integrated yamaha amp at this stage. I think I can't measure the quality of the preamp in this set-up, but at least I can say that the phono section is far better than the one included in the yamaha.
Now this preamp misses an amp... and some tuning, mainly to get rid of the radiations of the toroids on the phono pre (the sheet of steel just between the 2 cases that can be seen on the picture helps but is not enought).
A great thank you to Nelson for sharing his knowledge.
And also thank you to all hobbyists who inspired me, they may recognized some of their ideas in my preamp.

I didn't tryd that they get way to hot so I changed them for coils.Wery nice work Rob .Is any audibile change between changing resistor with coils in power supply?
They where 0,11 Ohm with 9A current.
I only draw the layout and a friend makes it in his shop with a cnc machine also the top bottom and back plate.dear Rob,
How did you get that kind of front made?
are you an industrial designer?
Rob

I just completed another Jfet Delite Amp.
It's both a light fixture and an amplifier and I like the baltic birch enclosure.
finally finished the F5 with remote PS. tung-oiled sapele wood. pictured below the F5 is the B1.

yes, no cover on the amp. while initially "hot", i can hold my hands on the heatsinks indefinitely with 1.3A bias.
