Found a minor error in silk screen on the I/V board: J3 & J4 L-IN/R-IN is mixed, should be other way. "From IV" L goes to J4 R-IN and vise versa. Don't know what to do with those J3 & J4 though. 🙂

What kind of jumper can be added to JUMP in DAC board? Tried a normal pinheader, but pins don't fit.

In the board I/V is not wrong.
The Jumper You just connect the foot 1 to 2 and You do welding them,( not put Jump on the board).

Well, I still think is it. Thanks for the jumper guidance. 🙂

I talked to a guy in Germany cause the transformer. He is building perfect transformers for valve-amps.

The Anode-current is 30-36 mA per valve, ís that right ?

We can get a very good transformer for "payable money" which delivers
3 x 12v / 1 x 9V and 1 x 250V.

Hope to can tell you more next week.

regards Michael

I'm very interested, if he will be able to post. Will it be multiple input windings or a single winding?

Any input with this? How about C26&C27 (10nF) in the same board/filter (DAC output)?
About Wima MKS, they sound bad, oops sorry, I don't like them. Sound too dry, sharp.

For input cap I ordered Hi End GAD-Viva Zinc MKP 0.01uf Capacitor,630VDC

Hi End GAD-Viva Zinc MKP 0.01uf Capacitor,630VDC - eBay Parts Accessories, Amplifiers, Home Audio, Electronics. (end time 05-Mar-10 18:43:01 AEDST)

For the filter I selected Vishay Roederstain MKP1837 0.01uF available from Farnell or RS

Also I use MKP1837 0.1uF as bypass on tube cathode. They just fit in by offsetting the electrolytic a little bit.

For C3, C6, C8, C11 Tube stage I will try between Oscon and Elna Silmic II.

Hi! I need some advice in the 0.1uF & 0.01uF capacitors need to be use in the photo below. Do your think it good enough? How to know which one is good in audio signal? Please advice me. Thanks

The only one I would use is the large one on C1,C2,C3,C4 on high voltage PSU. You need four of them. The rest in particular the red one I would not consider.

The Vishay Roederstain MKP1837 is the beloved one. Use it on Dac filter, Cathode bypass and around +5 , -5 the Analog DC input of the DAC.
Vishay BC MKS 0.1uF where the MKP won't fit with criteria.

I check my local Farnell & RS website, they selling Vishay Roederstain MKP1837 0.1uF & 0.01uF very expensive. I will find other source. Can i use Sprague Black Beauty 0.01uF/600V as input cap. at C28 & C29 on DAC-end board? Thanks
