These are very nice terminal blocks that we acquired at a surplus sale recently. They are stamped "26 V" but if you scrape the paint off with a pocketknife, you can make them any voltage you like. Just remember that if you begin to stutter uncontrollably, it means the voltage is too high!

I think the comment is written in jest. It's plain to see they can take a lot more than 30 volts. They are probably surplus items that were marked as such for a specific purpose such as identifying which connecton goes where.

Well, they are dual concentric cones no? No where does it say "drivers". It even says high notes from the centre cone without a separate tweeter. I'd go easy on him. 10 lashes, maybe 15.

A lot of people really swear by the old 16" Altec drivers. Apparently the best and cheapest way to get a pair is to buy a set of baskets and magnets without cones or VC on e-bay and send them here:

You then have receive basically brand new drivers that sound just like the originals for about half price. They even recharge the alnico magnets.
