The things I've seen too. I guess people who sell things realise they generally get more money with false advertising. If the buyer knows their stuff and yet want the item, they are not going to be fooled, but will bid what they think is a respectable price. The fluff attached to these auctions wont stop them buying. But if the 'one of the best in the world' rubbish gets to an idiot and they end up paying 50% more then its worth, the seller is quids in and the advert worked.
I've seen things like a pair of SEAS 27TFFC going for the same price as Wilmslow, if not a bit higher. I do wonder who actually buys them and what goes through their minds. The world is full of idiots mind you. Idiots selling sub par goods to other idiots! One idiot thinks its the best, the idiot buying thinks he's purchased the best, who's to ruin the fantasy for them? Ignorance perhaps IS sometimes bliss.

Indeed I saw those too
I generally do a daily 'Audax' search on ebay to see what comes up. They also look very well made, providing the world audio xover is up to the job and the piezo is still in good condition, £800 is probably a good max on those. I too would buy them for the drivers, if I didn't already have a shelf full

Looks like an M15CH with a paper or maybe a coated poly cone from the basic range. Could be good if you don't like the breakup of the magnesium or Nextel cones. Speculating of course.
I might be tempted to check those out myself should the price not get daft. Then again I've got enough on at the minute without buying yet more work.

The seller says they are like the MCA15RLY, which interestingly don't exist on the SEAS website
Those would be paper though, so its my guess these ones are a paper cone too. The texture of the cone is also not smooth in the same way the M15CHs was, that being a hexadym poly coned excel midrange.
The nextel drivers have a different coloured basket and phase plug, not that that means anything if they are custom designed.
SEAS generally make very nice paper cones, spec wise anyway, so these are probably a safe bet. Although if I was going to buy, I'd email him for the full specs.
