Mine is sitting here waiting for me to make a front plate, finish the top cover and paint the rear plate.
Not sure what material I'll use for a front plate...
Looking really good! What materials you have in mind?
Thanks!
I was thinking a ~9mm piece of white Delrin(acetal) could look nice. I've used white Delrin recently for some other projects, and it looks very nice when sanded to 600 grit or so with an orbital sander. It makes the finish smooth and consistent and nicely matte.
I scored some nice Cypress slabs last weekend and may use some of that to make a nice wood front plate.
I may also end up just using a painted aluminum panel like the rear, who knows.

Beautiful work, Juntuin!
What are you going to do once the 52w Alpha BB board shows up?
Thanks X!
Hopefully nothing just yet they are reserved for that day when and if I feel like building something again..already have some ideas though
I think is old Star Trek design!
The next to build is the Juntuin's captain chair.
Yes, Juntuin's Guardian ALPHA is outstanding, and I admit, Maty, I really like Star Trek, particularly the Borg. Particularly amusing is the portrayal of 7of9, Jeri Ryan, who is quite the most beautiful robot I've ever seen.......

Hi Vunce,
Did you modify your Alpha for lower gain and did it work out good ?
Regards,
Danny
Hi Danny,
Yes, I did increase R111 to lower the gain, along with a few other of the talked about mods:
Removed C105
Increased C103 to 1000uF
Reduced C111 to 220uF
I didn’t increase C113 or the bias yet.
The gain reduction was noticeable, (although I’d prefer a bit more).
For some reason, increasing C103 had the opposite effect, there is more noise at power up than there was with the stock 47uF value? I only had a slight woofer cone movement that was silent, now, I have a bigger cone movement accompanied with a static noise (not a thump).
Juntuin,
Nice Sculpture You certainly have done a fine job!!
Steve.
Thanks Steve, maybe Monolith would be better name but it is so used around world of hifi

Hi Vunce,
for a little bit more(1.6db) you can try 2.7k

Danny
