Do you have any pics Chris... Dan
Not directly accessible from this tablet for reposting, but they have been seen in these fora previously - if my search talents were worth a tinker's dam, I could find the specific threads, but no doubt Dave can dig them up.
Neither were as simple as Pensils, FH3 / XL, or any of the smaller MarKen types.
Most memorable for me as builds go would probably be a tie between the Ellipses and the Facets
muhahaha
Do you know of the Alpair 7a 3 with a Alpha 15a in a fast configuration. Dan
Geez, you're all over the place, aren't you. That sounds like an Open Baffle project to me, with a driver like the Alpha 15.
jeff
Alpha 15 is a popular cheap woofer for OB use. Good for what it is, but its limitations becomemore & more obvious as the system resolution increases. After using in a variation of the MJK OB (w FF85KeN & a bafflemadefrom a surplus conference tabletop, we put ours in H-frames and they have had little use here.

Hi all,
I could find 4 Fostex FX120 with a good price, what do you think of it comparing to Alpair 10P ?
It seems smooth and linear..
Phil.
Hi chrisb,
Thank's for details..
Mix paper/fiber cone seems a good thing, so Alpair 10P it's a good choice for me.
I can find it in Germany (149 euros), maybe in UK, or other in Europe ?

If you are considering the FX120, you really should consider the PRV 5MR450NDY - it will reach 150Hz in a bass reflex. But if you can tolerate a 250Hz XO you can go sealed. It sounds very nice and natural without being harsh on top.

Fostex FX120
FX120 is a very good loudspeaker (and very high construction quality). Very smooth & capable of decent bass. Maybe a bit laid back.
Jeff lives with a pair, maybe he will comment.

Hi Dave,
Thank's..
If Jeff goes here !
My research is to replace FE126eN, crossed at 200 hz, two per side in OB (back to back mounting).
So I need low Mms, Sd near 80/100 cm°, natural, smooth, no tweeter needed (listening distance 2,5 m)..
Low frequencies is two Alpha 15A per side in H frame.
Phil.

Sounds like an interesting implementation. As Dave say's, the FX120 is a very nice driver, and certainly laid back compared to the FE126eN. Very smooth thru the mid-treble region. Sd is only 66.5cm^2 thou, so maybe a little on the small side? If they're a good price, maybe hard to pass up. They work well in other enclosures also. I have mine in an Onken box, on the desktop at the moment.
A10p is also a very nice driver. Capable of deep bass in the FHXL enclosure. I would probably pick this driver for a "single" speaker application over the FX120, because of the extra bandwidth.
