after several years of having that schematic , also having amp in my living room , I'm still flabbergasted
I remember , from dusty papers , amps similar in both simplicity and execution
however , uniqueness of this one is fact that is brought in this era , both in spite and due to modern era parts and habits of how to use them
you'll hardly find both simpler (or even "just" equally simple) and more capable of doing what is made for
True Papa's Koan , isn't it .

Just use a Jensen with the right turn ratio.I have tried to find the Edcor PC600/15K transformer with no luck. I can only guess it was made specifically for Firstwatt. What transformer did you use Zen Mod?
I think voltage gain of amp is around 6
After much head scratching on my part this is the transformer I came up with. You will have to change the type in the box to 600 ohm to 15 K ohm.

dunno if hot-linking image will work :
That's a very nice website. Last time I looked at it, it was probably 3 years ago, seems like you have been adding quite a bit to the site.
If I become even more lazy than I already am now, I would definitely be interested in some of your pcbs

One thing that is a very nice feature but not often included, is an extra place to for an additional source resistor for paralleling to tweak value of source resistors.
The only other thing would be to ensure big Elna Silmic caps will fit on the PCB.
