Amp Camp Amp - ACA

So i am also some Month back finished successful my first one.
I've seen the UTube Clip about Amp Camp Day- very nice Idea! and all
the lucky People who finished successful the Tiny Amp.
In little Homerooms 5W- more than you can "normaly use, i think.
Pick Parts together.
Vishay IRFP250 from Mouser, also Resistors and Cap's.
2x Notbook PSU 3,14A from Beach.
For thermally Safety i add a little Alu- Cooling to PSU housing.
The rest gives not much heat in my Setup, works comfortable.

At first running the Amp on my Fostex FE126En (little touchy without
Correction- parallel Coil 0,82mH; 4,7µF; 4,7R/5-10W- on + wire works fine) i was impressed the very nice Sounding together.
A very good Ensemble, not too expensive.

I like the way you did that. Looks nice!

Thanks!

Thank you for reply saikatbiswas82 and curtisls87.

It is little handcrafted work.
Now i'm in progress to finish ACA 1b- more Bias and nearly 6W- to find out
the difference.
Also i build up the Variant from ZenMod advise with half resistance 0,47R, 0,68R with use of IRFP 150- wich he used in his own Aleph J Variant, i've read
about actually.
Now back to Workbench and tinning something.

for 2.2k 6w mod

Hallo saikat.

No, i am actually would finish with #1b version 1,5k Resistor to test out
who much more heat they give up.
I use a bigger heat sink 100mm high ,056k/W.
You can see on Picture that is actually done work.
Now i must wiring all together and add a Notebook PSU with 90W- 4,74A.
If it is all running i will give a reply again here.
Than it is time to fix the ZenMod- Variant.

Regards Bangla H.

i am not only in Pass Fever!

Hallo pico2Dumbs.

Thank you for reply.
Yes F4, F5- amazing one from first listening, now i know the big success, are
running.
I will later send Pictures in right Thread.
Yesterday i have reread Aleph J- Aleph 3- interesting.
This time was running a Aleph- M in Test listening in Bias setup 0,270mV ~ with 20VDC 0,8A- more gives to much heat. The heat sink 0,45K/W was used
to test F5 before with also 20VDC 0.5V ~ 1A in absolut max. condition, my
opinion. The F5 must be rearranged, he gives much heat all ways.
At this point i have to confess that the FetZilla is more- other Way- impressing
sounding Amp- hope nobody will killing me here now.
Forward looking more to test out now.

Regards to Australia, that Way also to Hugh.
Bangla H.

I've been to Hugh's house, and listened to his gear. He lives quite close to me.

Hallo 2pico dumbs

So i have a good intuition and give it to a ride place.
Of course i could/should? build more heavy stuff but than is no time to listen
and enjoying the other.
The BA3 is way to much.
In A-Class i have limited myself to max 25W, that more than enough.
And also i play with idea given from ZenMod with IRFP150- set the Aleph-M
to max Bias current in this circuit to 600mV ~ 1,8A to test out the different
Sound.
Big Heat sink i can reuse from F4- must be rearranged- to much heat from rectifier.

So its to do something in Hobby.

Is that limitation 25W of Class A heat at the heatsink or 25W of audio power?

I can put something together to match your requirements.

What is the impedance and sensitivity of your speakers?
Do you want ultra low distortion or something that sounds more like a tube amp.

Finish ACA mods first though.

Hihi :)
Now... :D
