Pete Millett sells a Maida regulator board for $15. You'll need to fashion a "heater lifter", just two resistors and a capacitor. DIY PCB - High voltage "Maida" style regulator PCB | eBay
I got the amp PCB but would also like to get the PSU board if available?
Thanks!
Do you have have extra boards by any chance?
Hi John,
Sorry for dumb question, are R111, R112 and C109 the "heater lifter"?
I used your Maida regulator board and until now this still works well.
Roland
that is a filament dc lifter, merlinb wrote about that here....The Valve Wizard
since the Impasse used dc coupling, the cathode of the concertina has elevated cathodes....s
Tony,
Thanks for link.
I was thinking to improvise the "heater lifter" to use pmillet's Maida reg. board to power 6SL7/6SN7 PP Flea amp, if this is possible.
Roland

of course it is possible, for the flea powered pp i am not so sure...there are other tricks in the link i posted..
Hello everybody,
does anyone have schematics and gerber files for the ImPasse?
I am designing my own with Autodesk Eagle but I have not designed pcbs before. Is anybody interested?
I am attaching a screenshot of the current design. The Top is for signal and Power and at the Bottom i try to implement something of a star ground.
Does it make any sense? If it works I can post it here.

I made some PCB's and offer them for $3 in respect of SY's intellectual property. Still have some left.
Ed Dell, the Editor of AudioXpress granted me permission to include a copy of the article with the PCB's. God rest his soul.
PM if interested.
thank you jackinnj, I will PM if I fail! 🙂
SY's and AudioXpress does not grant us the right to have an open file here for anyone interested to create his own?

I built my own with home made PCBs. I've got the files if you are interested.
good thing, do you have gerbers?

i have a design using 6sn7 and 6dj8, in case you are interested, a slight deviation from SY's Impasse but sounds very good..

I've got these screen shots of the PCBs. I'm not sure which were the final ones ?

The last photo was of the original prototype. I eventually had a custom transformer made for UK voltage.
I seem to recall that the first reservoir cap in the B+ supply was too low in value and had to be upped to increase the B+.
