This listening room was a Chicago retailer with a PASS Labs XA25 and a Firstwatt SIT amp connected to a full range speaker from CUBE. I sat in there for 45 minutes while they switched back and forth from the XA25 to the SIT. Great experience!

Western Electric. They had these three cases, like a museum showing jewels, with the insides of a 300B tube. Very cool room!

Everyone is making turntables these days. When will PASS Labs release their version?
One very nice addition this year was PARTS EXPRESS. They had a listening room with assembled versions of the speaker kits they sell. Easily was as good or better than most of the other listening rooms. Nice people also.

The End

Can you comment on how your highway pegs feel in this location. This side seems to be beside the water pump, did you install a subframe for them?

The highway pegs are awesome. They allow me to pull on the hanlebars while pushing on the highway pegs and getting a nice muscle stretch while at freeway speed. They were on the bike when I bought the bike used with 45k miles. I believe that they are a kit, with a bracket, that is fairly simple to install. They block the oil filter removal if I recall and must be removed to get at the oil filter.

I installed a subframe kit just under the rear top case.

The FJR forums are the best place to find these farkles.

Sunday April 7, I rode 260 miles with lots of the miles in the mountains of SW Virginia. A fellow FJR owner accompanied me. The highway pegs get used often. They help prevent muscles locking up.

My bike is a 2003, the first year they were available in the USA. I bought it in part because it was the cheapest fuel injected touring bike I could find when I was shopping a few years ago. Up until then I owned carbureted Yamahas and became tired of constant carb tweaking.

A few pics of my garage owner's collection! :)

He used top store some of his miniature cars up there but the safety inspector said 'NO' :skull:

[He has a few more bikes in a warehouse]:happy1:

Wow - nice! Could you comment on the differences between the two amps in this setting. Thx!

I heard the XA25 first, lovely sound, the acoustic jazz they played provided a full sound stage. The SIT sounded faster, sound stage had more depth, once again acoustic jazz had pin point instrument location in the sound stage.

What really struck me, was when the live acoustic jazz number stopped and the audience applauded, the SIT filled the room vertical and horizontal with the applause, like I was sitting in the audience. That really impressed me, not saying the XA25 wasn't impressive, however, it didn't wow me like the SIT did.
