I do not see RTX6001 listed anywhere on rtx.dk website anymore, neither the website search finds anything. Google offers results only from cached archive. Is that correct?
I think there is another company to manufacture it now

WHAAAAAT? I just recently bought some RTX6001 from RTX. I feel it is wrong to force people to buy the hardware in a package with some particular software. The RTX6001 was developed specifically to be software independent!

It looks like the price is still the same with the software so it's not really any different now, just a free software bundle added.

The Virtins price is USD 2500, which is about EUR 2300. When I bought from RTX, the price was EUR 2090. That's EUR 290 for the software.
That's not "free" software ("free" as in free beer).
You should wait with the purchase, because there is now a much better AKM chip. The current analyzer is not state of the art at the moment.
And if you bought one already --- Just buy another one when the better one comes out ?

I couldn't care less about the DAC chip.
I am more worried about Virtins to change the software control interface of the analyser to whatever they think is best for their software package. This would mean the level controls of the RTX analysers won't work anymore with other software.

Can you tell us the name of this chip?
4499
4499 - DAC, the main part of RTX is ADC.
I was hoping you could tell us about "much better chip" then AK5394, used in RTX.
(And, BTW, which is obsolete and is not manufactured now )
There has always been a 'better' chip.post.
Not in this case. As I said, AK5394 is obsolete, and I'm personally still cannot find a replacement. All other "better audio ADC" are better (maybe) for digitizing, but not for the measurements.
