OK,

Here is the lens system information. With this anyone should be able to reconstruct the lens system and a lens manufacturer can make up the correct lenses. I will try and reoptimize the lens system using plastic lenses for at least two of the larger lenses in the near future.

By the way in this lens system model all of the lenses are AR coated.

I made a mistake, the above lens has a 400 mm FL. The 481 is the total track or distance from the fist lens surface to the focal plane.

I have a microsoft word document that has production drawings for a 450 mm FL version of the lens in glass. If anyone wants I can e-mail the files to you along with a self executing solidworks e-file that contains a 3D viewable model of the lens.

If your light source or condenser lens is not exactly aligned and of the proper focal length it will change the effective focul length of the fresnel. And yet often the condenser needs to be out of alignment somewhat because if it is not the light is not diffuse enough and illumination artifacts can show up in the image.

I would have to say i agree with that 100% also the reflector can change the nature of the condenser and the frensels behavior so if even the reflector is out u will be burning up light going to the lcd before it even has gone through the lcd.
