I can agree the story is non of our business, unless maybe they take people's money and can't deliver... or deliver an untested and faulty product, then lie about having tested it, along with a myrad of other hard to believe excuses, while still accepting money.
To still maintain hope after what's transpired speaks volumes as well, but like you say, whatever lets you sleep at night.![]()
Good luck anyway, seriously. 🙄
Hello Classd...!!
- I can safely asure you, that it is _NOT_ the intention to "steal" the money of our beloved customers, Nor to deliver a faulty and / or non-tested product!!. However, it appears when you are dancing close to the edge of some component's spec's there is a high propability that some of the components dosn't live up to the spec's, causing trouble to arise after some while. The adjustment procedure of the 700XE is app. half an hour, so i can safely say, that all modules that has left the table has been running for at least half an hour. First Pre-production units were tested summer 2005, when the pictures were released on the web page, so it should've been ok - but wasn't. No excuse for that at all...
Once again, any people is free to get their money back, and same time id like to emphasize that the company both gives longer "money back"-service, and longer warranty period than required by danish regulations - and probably any country in the world!!
- I'm not trying to play the violin here - please don't misunderstand it like that!!
Sincerely, Lars / Viborg - Tech Support for LC Audio
Maybe we have a change for the better, at least the company responds. And they probably feel a constant pressure for improvments. I will say that there is hope!😉
And remember, you are not selling products, but satisfaction!🙄

Now the status on the 700xe has changed to "Order now". Does this mean that the problem is solved? Have you guys received yours yet?

The order status is not "Order now" but "soon in stock".That gives a little hope they have found a remey and are working on it.

On the Danish site they still have the text "comming soon" In Danish of cause ;o)
Rgds!
Jens Posselt (sales mangerof LC Audio) made me an offer because of an unfinshed affair to purchase two 2.3SE modules to the price of one.
I should order and pay one using their web form and he promised to make shure that I would get two and I also asked him to include the paid for and since long time ordered predator psu in the parcel.
I was quite happy about that since I have had no music in my home since the end of november and I would have a still very good sound while waiting for the 700XEs.
Today the UPS guy was here but didn't wait for me to open the door and dropped a note on the floor so I had to ask a friend to visit their office and fetch the parcel (I am rather immobilized myself).
Guess what! when he came back and I filled wit expectations opened the parcel there was only one module and none predator psu in it.
I feel very depressed and the act of sending me only one part of three, which I have no use at all for without the other parts is like an insult to me.I am exhaused mentally and loosing my faith in humanity and in special LC Audio.

Why should something so very broken work just for you?
Honestly, it sounds like you're striving for a lawsuit here, any mental anguish, loss of sleep, nightmares, etc?
Try www.hypex.nl and stop with the

Or hey, maybe if you ordered and payed for a second power supply, they'd send that first one?
A sad (and stupid) mistake. Cannot imagen it is on purpose, nobody wants this bad marketing.
btw Maybe he was planing to send you the extra module separately (because he cannot interfere with the normal processing). Will cost him more shipping costs this way, of course.

I am a bit ashamed that my old company dont make more effort to satisfy the expectations of their socalled 'beloved' customers. 🙁
I can only apologise, but not really do anything about it.
Some people have sent me e-mails asking if i have left the company with all the schematics in my bag, and since kept them secret from the new 'management' of the company.
I realize it may be very difficult to follow the chain of events from the viewpoint of the readers of this forum. So i feel the urge to give a clear answer to that question: Of course not !! 🙂
With regards to the ongoing discussions about whether i can release my own version of 700XE, or not, this is a debate i have also followed with some interest. Let me point out that at this point it is a purely academic discussion for me. But i have of course asked my own lawyer to go through every aspect of my work activities for the last 4 years, and give me an assessment of what i can generally do and what not, in the interest of not getting into trouble.
The result is that strictly legal, no restrictions exist, since no contracts exist. However he advised me against doing something like an exact copy of any L C Audio product. Which i have absolutely no intention of doing anyway. I have of course some new ideas on how to make a new generation of amplifiers, and it is very far from a copy of any former product i have made.
And furthermore i have only made them for my own personal use.
So i see no contradiction to their interest should i decide to make it in the future, since i am at this point - as you probably all know - all booked up in my all time dream project in wave energy.
All the best from
Lars

Hi Lars, Of course that is not the case. Probably the current LCaudio staff is just having problems getting their act together. A bit clumsy imo. I don't think they like what is happening (because they will be out of bussiness in no time if things dont get better). I wait another month or so. Should be enough to get organized.
However, maybe they don't have somebody who can update their website more frequently. Should be high on their priorities list. A good website with uptodated info is very, very important for an i.net business. Just give some more info!!

I think an updated website is the least of their concerns.
BTW it's interesting to note that the 700XE was orginally said to be a carefully tuned 2.3SE? Correct? Why not tune up a few SE's and ... I'm sure it's more complicated than that.
Good to hear from you Lars.
Maybe we could start a new thread and discuss these next generation class d ideas you have?
Regards,
Chris

First of all..!!
I believe Anzgar's "case" is solved. A even more terrible mistake was made, the 2nd. module and the power unit is sent now, so soon he has music again. Best description is as somebody guesses, that it is not easily interfered with the normal shipping, but it is only the half truth... - I can only state that we are VERY sorry that **** happens!
Second..:
Dammit Lars - What could you ever imagine cna improve the next level ZapPulse?? I thought this one would be hard to beat, after all the adjustment's on the board was something i didn't think of!!
- How did it go with the F16 Dude, did he contact you???
Third..: Home Page!!
Lars C. is very much into programming, and not-so-skilled persons could have trouble finding way through the compelxity of the page. A new page is though under design, much tech. simpler, but giving the same information and same possibiliti'es.

Are you sure my stuff was sent today?Via UPS? I got the tracking number but it's not to be found at UPS's search.
Hm, I hope the 700XE is not outdated when we finally receive ours....sometimes things happen too fast 😀 Thanks to the wave energy I think we will have to wait considerable time before Lars C will launch an even better module.

I think everyone is going to be expecting some listening reports after going though all this.
Yep, this is what i am doing for the next couple of weeks. 😀
A lot of fun, and potentially with huge possibilities. Consider a full scale wave converter, can be placed in the middle of the Atlantic, and produce Hydrogen for car fuel, heating and electricity. The annual Hydrogen output is worth something like 1.5 mill US$ (for 1 converter!). There are millions of square kilometers of ocean with a good wave climate, and believe me, you can sell all the Hydrogen you can make! All ecologic neutral, with absolutely no greenhouse gases.
About Class D amplifiers, and when they will be outdated, i think everyone would like to make a product, and see it last for 10 years. However the world is spinning fast, the chinese are snapping our tail every day. And they have incredible low prices, and can produce anything in the low - middle class range. For example take a look at the '500W Class D' thread.
So for a western Europe producer, the only option is to stay ahead, and produce only the very top of the food chain. Only the newest and best that can be made. And try to stay ahead. This means the product has to evolve constantly, or it will simply drown in the far east competition.
You swim the best you can, or you sink. There is no time to sit back and wait for better times.
That is why every time you make a new generation of Class D amplifier, it has to excel over previous versions on as many points as possible, and also have some new - never before seen - solutions and features. Then you can make something that will open eyes in the worldwide audio community. But the next year .... 😉
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Wouldn't hundreds of thousands of these things change oceanic heating-cooling patterns, throwing wheather patterns into a state of complete chaos, while the shadded ocean starves of life giving light, wiping out uncountable species at the very root of the entire ecosystem?
Lars Clausen....... Leader of the third, and final wave, and all for a $.

Too many of these together can also sooth the waves and result in less energy? Probably need to figure out a distribution pattern and power generation per area of ocean as well. Maybe even plant them at the pottom of the sea like sea weeds and let them move around (not patentable now 😀 ).
BTW: How many "Lars" were there in LCAT 😀 😉
And How many would be in the DENMARK alone...😀 😀 😀 😀 😉

Very interesting turn of this discussion 😀
Good consideration!
When you take energy out of the waves, this energy will not (as now) be dissipated as heat when the wave plunges into the shore somewhere. This means the energy taken out will counteract global warming immidiately (if there is enough wave converters). An immediate positive environmental effect.
If you place them below 50 deg longitude, where there is practically no land except for Antarctica, you will have the highest production per area possible. With 8 million square kilometers of open ocean, below 50 d You would have to have considerable amounts of waveenergy converters to make any difference to the environment. 🙂
