as there are two engineer's solving some - hopefully minor - problems with them...
.. Since my name is still found on L C Audio's homepage, appearing as an external developer, i feel i should emphasize that i am not one of those engineers.
The truth is that i no longer have anything to do with them.
I have urged them to stop using my name for some time now, but as you can see they still do. It's not nice to have your name associated with something, that you have absolutely no influence on, and somebody else is running in a way, that you may disagree with.
😉
700XE is my work, and one that i am very proud of. In my opinion it's a great leap forward in Class D performance. But it's a shame that it has not been completed for the market yet because of 'other issues'. As i am no longer an employee or official spokesperson of L C Audio, i can't discuss the technical problem that is mentioned in the previous posts, or why they didn't commission me to find solutions for them. So that's why i am not so active on this particular thread.
I wish L C Audio all the best luck with the future, and hope that they can solve their problems.

I guess you feel it much better than TRIPATH, UCD, TACT etc. products in terms of technology and sound?

So sad... - But unfortunately very true... ( Uuaakkk... )
- You should be VERY proud of it, the sound is GREAT!! - Unfortunately i'm not into the decission-making in the company, otherwise you'd have worked it out long time ago!!!
Hopefully Gert's Engineer's figure out the secret's fast so they can become shipping...!!
Thank's for the wishes of good luck - might be necessary...

It's indeed a dirty shame they didn't commision you to fix the problems.I took it for granted they would do that and the problems would be solved in a few days.

Lars,
Sorry for your situation it must be terribly frustrating for you as well.
I feel its' a grave mistake on their part to not include you, especially at this stage of the game, as obviously a successful launch with as few glitches as possible is absolutely crucial, and they're just doing everything *** backwards to that effect. If they're trying to save a buck by going it alone, they need to realize it's costing them dearly.
I've no doubt your module has potential, but they're ruining that with what seems to be a good deal of incompetence, save for perhaps the efforts of Lars V, and to him I say thanks for keeping us informed, though please don't underestimate us. For example emails just don't get lost. They do however go ignored, and get deleted. I would say I've my doubts that the router is the weak link in the chain. Maybe someone is on the bottle, something obviously needs to be changed, and soon.
Also I thank you for explaining to me in such a nice way how the manufacturing process you endure works. It would seem from my perspective there's just too many cooks in the kitchen. I can't see how it's economical or efficient to have the boards assembled at several different places.
Also I'd think anything as far as protection circuitry would qualify as critical.
Back to Lars C, if this level of incompetence keeps up, maybe the only way to get your baby out there is to look for a loophole in whatever binding contracts you have to enable you to license some version of it to someone more competent.
Here's hoping it gets out there in good form, one way or the other.

- Hello Anzgar!!
I believe, that app. ten days ago, i answered you, that i'd forward you'r mail to the bussiness manager, for him to answer. - Apparently he did not... - or did not get the mail.
Today Anzgar mail'ed me again, and frustrated as i get when some of our very good customers have a problem, i actually called our bussiness manager immediately to divert his attention to the potentila problem. Hopefully Anzgar get's his problem solved quite fast - Sincerely, Lars / Viborg - Tech Support for LC Audio at support@lcaudio.dk
I actually expected a response from JP this time but no response so far which I interprete as a NO to the bargain. There's even no way to order SE modules upgrades via the purchase form as there is no such option in it for them.Even if there was I fear it's
not really safe to put an order at this time.
No 700XE, no SE, no class D, no sound xpect from de computer...

Trouble arises, when a company has an unique product, superior(at least in our minds) to the products of the competition, and this company don´t behave in a "normal" way...
Then we, the consumers, have, per definition , few choises. We can go for an inferior product, provided by another company, which behaves in a normal way. We can also hope that the company that should provide the unique product, will sort the problems out, in other words become a normal company.
The third possibility, is that another company develops a simiular product of equal value to us, and if this company behaves in a normal way, we can buy this product instead.
Yet another alternative has been proposed by classd4sure, the unique product (rights) being sold to another company. And hopefully to a normal one.😉
Of course, under the circumstanses, we can loose our intrest ,
and leave the problem , as the process surely will take some time, if solved at all.
I´m writing this, as I have had problem with a well-known US based record company, as well. Their records is to my knowledge
not available in Sweden. And as I have ordered directly from them without any succsess, and as I have e-mailed them several times, but not having a response, I now feel discouraged.Phone them? I haven´t found a number that will work from outside the USA.
It´s commonly regarded that ordinary people have an inferior status in relation to companies , which generally have superior resources. Legislation in many countries has been made to equal the balance. But there will never be an ideal relationship between all companies and their customers. What we may hope for, is that the exceptions to a "normal" behavior is very few.
When companies refuses to answer your mails, they treat you as a non-person. Beware and stay away, or wait and see?Not to my liking!

I shipped 2 of my old modules to them, as a part of their intro price.
Will I ever get the 700XE or my old modules back

I think Lars' module in the least deserves the chance to see how it fairs against the competition, right now it's only getting to compete with Mueta, but they're at least not accepting orders as far as I know.
To the incompetent(s) in question, please consider this an appeal for your own good and those of your customers, to get off your high horse, put the bottle down, give Lars a call, pay the man what he's worth, and basically, get your act together before it's pulled out form under you, if it hasn't been already.

A normal company wants to make profit, and in order to do this , it satisfies some needs of the customer.
It´s much harder to characterize a not normal company, but does it want to annoy its customers?
What we have here, is certainly exceptional, an axception to the rule that companies behave, for their own good!😕

I don't think there's much profit in selling modules to DIY market. 😀
I think we're pretty lucky that any of these companies sell to us, and not strictly to OEM's.
I've had really good experiences with LCAudio. I'm sure this is just a bump in the road. I hope to also order the upgrades at some point.

How could you be sure ? Not much profit, well you probably get a much higher price per unit on the DIY-market, than on the OEM market. And the DIY market seems rather big, as this board implies.(And you may sell to both markets, taking advantage of price differentation, i.e some customers are willing to pay you a significantly higher price, even if the the cost of manufacturing is the same, this isn´t a normal case).
And "a bump in the road" ? Every forecast about the future, contains uncertainty, and often our hopes influence our opinions.
I can´t say anything for shure eighter, but I find the company´s behavior exceptional, but hope they do sort the problems out. And as they most likely are in the business for the sake of profit, we ought not be only thankfull about their existence.
😎
Why don't you try to phone them? (I have done this..... 😉)
Personally I find it quite strange that you can order a product where everybody knows it will not be on stock within a reasonable time...
Cheers,
Jan-Peter

My friend got a parcel from LC-audio, today. He had ordered in January, and had almost lost faith in ever receive anything. And now he seems to have received all he has payed for!
Is this an exceptional event?😎 Hope not!
(Although there was trouble with the delivery , "to the door, and you have to stay at home all day and don´t travel to your job in an other town- HATE this stupid thing. No choice, it ended up with
me receiving it, and delivery took some days extra. You have to pay to be annoyed)
But I phoned my friend , and he was happy, and said "I might start believe in LC-audio again" .
Believers and non-believers? 😀 I remain a sceptic, for some time.
P.S. There is a picture of the beloved(?)700xe, in the department "News" in the latest issue of the German magazine
Klang+Ton, the text is saying that LC-audio products now being sold by the German company Intertechnik (www.intertechnik.de).

He must have won the monthly draw

Hi,
I got some news through the grapevine and ...... well.... you heard of vaporwear? If I were you, I'd be asking for my money back right now.... no kidding.

The only LC product they sell is the LC clock

He bought a phonoamp, a stabilized PSU, a clock crystal, and some small items.
I saw , as well ,that there were only LC-clock units on the Intertechnik site. But it is interesting to compare this fact , with what the German magazine wrote, and now I have to translate from German to English, so please don´t be too confident about
my ability.
"The versatile Danish provider of electronics, LC Audio will immediately be represented by Intertechnik...Besides some ready-made gear of their own design, LC Audio provides a line of analog and digital modules for people interested in HiFi...........
Another highlight in their production line is the digital PWM-amplifier module (shown is the ZapPulse 700xe), that shines with the lowest distortion together with a the highest efficiency."
So both Intertechnik and Parts Express are now representatives for LC Audio?
With some good products to offer(?) , I hope the LC Audio company will somehow get rid of their appearent problems.
