Everyone is all paid up. Just pending me receiving shipment of the boards themselves and we can get this show on the road! JLC says the boards are done and just waiting carrier pickup.

I would assume cutting the trace for positive and ground of the woofer portion of the crossover so I could bi-amp would not interfere with the rest of the crossover? What is the impedance of the woofer section alone and of the tweeter and midrange together?

I don't know about impedance's, so I'll leave that to X to answer, but the PCB has dual sided ground planes with loads of stitching via's, the traces are 6mm wide, given that I think cutting the traces for the woofer portion would be very painful.

I think you may be better off making a P2P crossover if you want to bi-amp. Cutting two-plane traces stitched with vias is not feasible. You want to know what the impedance sweep is for just the woofer section vs the mid+tweeter?

Here is simulation of Woofer XO impedance all by itself (4 ohms at low frequenceis to 30ohms at high frequencies):

Here is the Mid+Tweeter and no Woofer (very high below 100Hz and goes to 5ohms at high frequencies):

For completeness, here is the overall impedance for the 3-way XSDC as designed - the impedance is very smooth and no huge variations (4 ohms nominal with a mild trough at 3.5ohms and small peak at 10ohms otherwise very benign). Your amp will be much happier driving this than the crossover split up with bi-amping:

Boards are in everyone. I will swing by the post office today and pick up shipping materials, get everything prepped up, and start shipping the boards out in a day or two.

@jack_b sadly they did not send any extras, just the 20 ordered, if you are still interested I have a pair of boards where the tweeter positive and negative markings are reveresed. LShoot me a PM if you want them.

All the boards are being shipped out first thing tomorrow morning, everything is packed up and ready to go. I got a bit busy last week and was unable to make it to the post office in time.

I've had a couple of people reach out about boards, and if there are enough people I think a second GB would make sense. A quick check of JLC shows roughly the same prices as before;
  • 5 boards - $40/pair
  • 10 boards - $24/pair
  • 15 boards - $20/pair
  • 20 boards - $18/pair
