XRK 10F/RS225 FAST TL Flatpack GB

Ok - I think we can help. I recently have a new speaker design called the Vanguard Archer that has same size cabinet and baffle size. Just need to modify baffle with cutouts for RS225 and 10F. You have option for a reflex vent as well.

I am not sure I ever said I was offering a sealed.
Once I have the plans for the sealed cabinet completed I will post drawings and then get a GB list started as well.
I'm on the fence, but have been waiting to see the sealed version... I won't hold things up though. You use the TL as your "reference", and with all the speakers you own and have designed ... that's a strong enough endorsement for me. 🙂

Let’s update the list so I can calculate the cost to do this.

What finish for Drpro?

Name / type / finish
————————
Russellc / TL / walnut
Russellc / Sealed / walnut
Mdsimon2 / sealed / walnut
Uptownsquash / TL / birch
Drpro / TL / walnut on?
Toys4boys / TL / cherry
Itsallinmyhead / TL / walnut ok?

————-

5 TL’s
2 Sealed

I’ll check on cherry wood.

Ok, I'm decided, I will drop the sealed and go with the walnut TL only. I don't think I will be happy with the bass on the sealed without sub woofers.

I think I will build the small sealed with the foam board stuff to see how bass response is, If sufficient as is, or ported can perform in my upstairs bedroom setup bass wise I will rethink.

Don't want to deal with subs

Nice work on the flat packs X. I rough cut my birch plywood last year, and hope to cut to needed dimensions by the end of fall. A winter inside project, I hope. Rather than dowels, I may use the 90 degree plastic corner joiners, commonly used in furniture manufacturing. Save's me a lot of precise measurements being needed for dowel installation. Good luck on the GB.
