Buttoned up and was playing last night...so it works! No real critical listening yet and we have no curtains at the moment as the window is being rebuilt so the room is a little lively right now.

Isn’t this why we love being DIYers? Building it with your own hands? A bit of architectural design…trusting the component designers…having the freedom to make alterations..and then seeing and hearing the fruits of our labors as well as that sense of accomplishment we get?

Hi Myles,
You pretty much are using all existing space. The only thing I would try to do differently is to move the toroidal donut as far from amp module as possible. So against the front panel like how I have in sketch. Move the SFP farther away as well. The idea is keep 120vac mains as far from the low level input signal as possible. This will reduce noise pickup.

At one point, I had the X's parallel to the front panel, one in each corner of enclosure. I will put it back that way, and see if I can free up some space between them and the amp board.
I can also move the SFP to mount on the front panel.
Is your pic showing both transformers in one corner?. I think my enclosure would tip due to the weight of both X's.

Please see pic below for updated layout for one channel. The other channel will mirror this layout. I think this is better than the one in post #784. I only have 12" of depth to play with.
The SFP will be mounted on the front panel between the transformer's.
One other question, I have applied thermal paste between the back of pad and heatsink. Was I supposed to apply paste to the back of the chip and the front of the insulator pad also?.

your the best thanks ill get digging!3x 300VA trafos or 1x 1000VA trafo. Or a 1200W +/-44v SMPS from Micro-Audio.
As X suggested as option ,
I will choose 3x 300VA in three Chassis , as that will remove complexity like Soft Start

Least complex would be SMPS from Micro-Audio with its built in softstart plus a few other nice features and Much less weight. Add a cap bank before each Xmas Amp module.
I have a few coming in. in the spirit of this of this board. I can sell them at cost plus shipping. Ill just need to get permission from xrk971 and Dibya. The finish ENIG-RoHS from jlcpcb but they will take a few weeks to get here.Hi,
