(4) 1N4148W-FDICT-ND DIODE SWITCH 100V 400MW SOD123 0 0.44000 $1.76

Is a SMD Diode, 🙁

I ordered all this and they sent me SMD diodes, BAH, now i need to order more of the non surface mount, DO you have the part # for digikey?

Other than that im almost set to go 🙂

Jase.

p.s thanks for your help nycavsr2000

For those who have built, or are building, the F4, are you using 2sk170 and 2sj74? Is there any schematic adjustment need to be done?

Other than the chasis, I have everything I need to build a pair of balance mono-block. Actually, I have made a choice between two heatsinks...

Im thinking about ordering 8 more and 16 more mur brown diodes and 2 more psu board from peter daniel, so i can put them into my aleph Mini's.

Best of luck to you--hope you're having a blast.

This will be my first attempt at using the Mur diodes... hope I hear a difference, they aren't exactly cheap!😱 I purchased 16. If they are great, I'll probably do the same as you. For now, I'll stick with the F4s; I'd like to have about 4 stereo pairs.

To keep things unusual, I'm going to try my project with IRF630 & 9630 fets. These fellows have about half the input capacitance of the 240s and can handle 72 watts. With the light load the F4 demands of the fets, I think this could work. If it doesn't work, I'll slip in NP's suggested chip.🙂

Thanks. However i do have this feeling that ill still like my 4 aleph mini's. I built 2 stereo blocks, and till this day i still like them. They are the SMD version, i love how mush clear sound i get out of something so small but yet little power.

Must put new resistors in pre-amp and then see if i like balanced, if not i have a pre-amp for sale 🙂 With very nice case and lots of goodies inside case 🙂

I'm glad you like your mini's. I may try this....someday. Too many projects, not enough somedays.😀

I had a lot of fun with my ZV7-T, which has become the ZV7-bjcc (buffered--jfet--cascoded--choke loaded). This is the best sounding amplifier I've ever fabricated--so smooth, liquid. I learned to draft pcbs and order from a pcb fab house. So much fun!!! It operates on 20 volts and easily drives my JBL 2446 110db paper-mache horns. 😀 😀 😀

What would we do without Nelson?:att'n:
