JUST AN APPRECIATION

The Bloodhounds I built four years ago have given me a lot of pleasure. They are being driven from a first generation 27" iMac thru a Dragonfly Red DAC. They have just gotten an upgrade to Pass ACA Mini amp. Surprising bass from such a little driver.
So thank you Scott for a great design.

And I should also say thank you to Mark Fenlon and the crew at MarkAudio for their great drivers, and to Planet10 drawing up the plans and doing all you do to keep this forum running.
Just wanted to thank Woden Design and Planet 10 for these designs. I was looking to build a compact, full range, backloaded horn and these were the best option I felt I could use.
I did a few tweaks to the design. I added a layer of Walnut to the front face for the wife-appeal factor, and used Baltic Birch for the rest of the construction. Also added thin cleats to make the bottom removable for tweaking. Also made the top, bottom amd sides, but not the front and back or the inside dividers, 3/4 inch.
I'm driving them with an Alan Eaton 45 amp. Prior to these, I've been switching between Altec 755C drivers in 23 cubic foot boxes I made, and some Fostex FE206En in the backloaded horns Fostex recommended for them. I am immensely enjoying these though.
