No email received, but Chris & i have been discussing details.
What drivers?
dave
I'm open at this point, as I haven't yet purchased. Maybe the FF85WK, which would be at the top of my price range.
Not sure why the emails aren't coming through - I'm sending through the diyaudio link.
Can anyone comment of the sound of the Alpair 6P in the labyrinth? How does it compare to a more conventional box like the mMar-Ken6p?
Chris? And one other pair were built can't recall by who.
I will endeavor to swap in the A6 boxes and have a listen.

There are Alpiar 6p, Fostex FF85wk, 105wk. So far.

Looking for a pair of FF85WK, and they seem to be out of stock. I have only found a single driver available at one of the online speaker dealers, and other than that outlandish prices on the auction site. Anyone know of a pair available?

I have some. I usually only sell trested/modified ones, but may let go a matched stock pair that have set aside for custom colour. With an extra shipping they likely won't be quite as cheap as Madisound.

Thanks.mls- I seem to recall that Solen had some about 6 weeks ago
I was looking through u tube and I seen a set MA A73s in a very small enclosure but seemed to sound good... looked to be 8inch tall and about 6inches wide... has anyone experimented with a enclosure that small..THANKS,Dan
Its on UTube.. under Alpair 7 subscriber Tsukada Ikuo Aug 23 2013... looks like a luxman integrated amp. He's playing a recording of piano scales.. really impressive for such small cabs.. thanks, Dan
<rant>Despite people posting these all the time they are pretty useless -- you can't tell much from a youTube video about how something sounds. 1st it is recorded, then has the hell squashed out of it, then you play it back thru your speakers. A huge amount of loss and contamination there </rant>
We use A7.3 in a 4.7 litre (net) vented enclosure with good results.

Dave, it's my job to be the dyspepsic cranky old fart in our secret brotherhood - oops, spoiler alert😱:
Maybe despairing over this dumbing down is something that mostly only those of us now enjoying our 7th decade and beyond find worth grumbling about.
-and kids, get off my (wife's) lawn

For the record, I only asked for a link to see the box size. I have never had faith in video demos of audio/musical equipment.
Back to the topic at hand of Woden boxen...
Are plans for the Alpair-6 TL obtainable? I feel like I could construct such a box myself (with some cutting done by Lowe's staff).

I was sitting listening to tunes like many late nights and remember a tweak using cotton around the whizzer... Really seems to cut the edge on the top... allowing more volume for better bass response.... anyone else hear the difference.. Dan
