I buy plantains that way.
Not patient enough to wait and shops around here sell overripe ones for a third of the usual price.

of the 40 or so women that I dated, I only met one who made her own speakers. When she saw my A7-500's in my living room she said I hear they sound pretty good but don't go as low as Klipsh horns. I was in love. Unfortunately she slipped away.
If it makes you feel any better I think chances are pretty high she was into women

still not fair. I didn't realise how nice bananas could taste till I went to the Seychelles once.
Yeah, everything is like this
I eat baby bananas when available
They are much better tasting than larger bananas
Generally the smaller the fruit the better and more flavorful it tastes
I remember when I was a kid in Germany I picked strawberries the size of blueberries
Have you seen the size of an American strawberry?
Actually even the blueberry is pretty big now.
When will the madness end?!
Raw plantains will probably give you the runs too.
That sounds like a challenge

Non-ripened plantains will even do that if they're not cooked through and through.
On the other hand, try frying regular bananas, what a mess.
(deepfried plantains are a standard dish of Indonesian, Surinam, and Dutch Antilles cuisine. Around the corner food in these parts)
I wonder what audiophiles (*) have to do with audio.
(* the kind that sticks a 10 buck capacitor in a 5 dollar circuit)

On the other hand they tend to produce a lot of audioWhy are there so few women in audio? Because there are so few women geeks?

But so much fun when you find one!
However the hipsters have stolen 'geek' so now anyone with a RPi in their house is a geek.
I think it has something to do with testosterone. Wimen doesn`t have the same urge to test their stereo as men has due to this hormones.
Sure, there must be tons of scientific research confirming that....I think it has something to do with testosterone. Wimen doesn`t have the same urge to test their stereo as men has due to this hormones.

A highly disproportionate number of serious cash spending male audiophiles I've encountered are the Jason Victor Serinus type.
If at all applicable, I'd think androgyny is more linked to oestrogen/estrogen level than testosterone.

As in about the same size as your lunch, or into crystal healing and other mumbo-jumbo?
vs. the serious cash spending female shoe lovers.... 😕serious cash spending male audiophiles
One was a licensed podotherapist, correspondence course.
(Earned his living by delivering repair/spare parts to ships though. Lots and lots of overtime pay, money to burn)

With Jimmie Choo costing £400-500 a pair (similar to my preferred Church's. I am wearing a nice pair of black heavy brogues today in the office) they would need to have a LOT of pairs to keep up with some audiophiles!
With Normal shoes costing somewhat less than that you are talking about women having 100s of pairs. Other than Imelda, not met anyone like that. Clearly I hang around the right women....
I order my Bass Weejuns on line as I can no longer purchase them locally. I go for the Larson ($110) ones not the Lavin ($375):
