While they last...

Thank You Vodomore

I have no experience with the Alumina pads...but want to go the extra mile on this project.
Makes sense , Ill seek out some Non Conductive thermal paste... Thanks For the heads up on this.

Part 2 of this is a different animal..(1/2" Aluminum Chanel to a number of premade Aluminum Heatsinks, with no need for electrical isolation).

I get the feeling that this may be the wrong forum for this...my apologies.

Which project are you building?

That's a really good question...

Like others, I HAVE been following MULTIPLE Vfet threads...and have watched the Burning Amps Presentations on the Tube.

The original thought was to await whatever Nelson presented for the THF-51S...and this is still my intention. I spend some brain power speculating on what direction that Amp may take. For now that's fine and a fun topic to ponder. Realistically I wont start until a board is available for purchase.

However...ZenMod's Sissy Sit is very interesting and tempting

Abandoned this as per advice and just ordered brand new THF-51S from pras1170’s aliexpress store - seems to be under 10 left now.

Here is the link, which is a little hidden.

AliExpress - Buy directly from China

State the exact transistor you’re after in the message to seller box.

Pras1170 was quick to respond to me via email.
The link doesn't work

Nelson said a while back that first is the kit for the other Sony VFETs and then the kits for the big Tokins
I'm hoping for sometime after the new year so I can finish several projects before starting another amp.

How he finds the time to do all the DIY projects, run two businesses and still enjoy life is beyond me.

Yeah, and I imagine that created an original circuits that can be tailored to most available VFET (at the time we speak) is in no way a small task.

And I am sure there is other criterias that had to be choose and decisions that must been made in order to create a functionnal, abordable, dependable and exceptionnal sounding designs appealing to a wide variety of diy enthousiast.

And if all that's not enough already... It seems Papa tries to make each project a bit unique as well. It's not like they're all just a minor variation from one another to allow the topology to simply "fit" a different output device.

Papa has been creating a buffet for us greedy boiz
