Yep, REAL plywood😁
Not fake woodgrain vinyl laminate on particle board.

Sweet Modulus build Anand!! Gotta love those Supreme trafos 🤩
ENJOY!

ENJOY!

BTSB (non panel mount) is OPA1642 or 1656 followed by LME49724. I suppose it could be used as front end to parallel x86’s.
Output swing is limited to 53vpp though in balanced mode if amps are 0dB gain. Maybe they have gain?

What’s on the bench today?
A non-grounded power cord posing as a grounded cord!!
This darn thing caused me to go crazy tracking down background noise from a piece of gear that is otherwise totally quiet. I’ve never come across a power cord like this, there’s only two conductors in the cable even though both ends have ground provisions.

I have had this happen a few times with a brick style “no name” SMPS I bought from Amazon. I reported it because it is a potentially deadly thing to do to sell a 2 conductor non-grounded IEC power cord as a 3-conductor one. It also caused me all sorts of issues. Best thing to do is to cut those wires so you don’t use them accidentally. If you look at the wire cover it might even say 2 conductor wire. They are simply trying to save money by using 2 conductor wire. Crazy stuff.

Send it back with strong complaints. Make sure no one else will want to buy this.
Yeah, just crazy!
I think this cord came from a similar Amazon purchase, X. I will look up my past purchases to track it down.
Rayma,
My last critical review I left for an Amazon purchase was followed up by a message from Amazon two days later stating my review didn’t stay within “guidelines” and was never posted. They “wash” the reviews posted, that’s why almost all products I see have 4 stars or better. 🙄

First production VeraLink Bluetooth TWS amps are getting tested by beta testers and reviewers. Sounds great with Vanguard speakers. Here it’s seeing some use to give great sound to a video teleconferencing setup at a friend’s office. Connects flawlessly to laptops, smartphones, tablets etc. Truly “Frustration-free Bluetooth”. This is a temporary setup and my friend will take it home to evaluate in a home audio environment but demonstrates the versatility and many uses of a compact TWS BT amp for small passive speakers.

Ebay does not do that, and usually will have better prices on many items.
Review of the VeraLink just came out.

On the bench tonight are prototypes of a new product from Vera-Audio called the Vibration Black Hole (VBH) vibration damping feet. There are two stages of special visco-elastic damping. Constructed of precision machined anodized aluminum, stainless steel and Nylon. The “Back Hole” on the top is a hard nylon conical piece that is meant for spikes to rest on. Using the stainless top directly will also reduce vibrations but through only 1 stage of damping. Both speakers and electronic audio equipment (turn tables, power amps, tube amps and preamps) will benefit from a quieter mechanical background when fitted with these vibration absorbing feet. 50mm dia x 33mm high. I am testing them now and initial results are very promising. Stay tuned.
