Yes, it’s internal as well and I added a bead like caulking to make sure it’s air tight since there were some gaps created by some bad alignment between the MdF stacks.
On June 26th my wife and I hiked for 2 hours at Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, oldest tree there is over 5,000 years old over 10,000 ft above sea level. not a lot of climbing though tiring for sure. 29 miles from Hwy 395 in CA, takes an hour to drive up as have to stop a few times for the amazing views of the snow capped Sierra's. I have been in around 50 countries and seen many fine sights, that place is magical and our doggy loved it as well, just wanted to go and go but we had to stop often as so many incredible trees. If ever in that area it is a must see!
Sorry no pics yet, plenty online though, I have not had the time to go through them, so many great pics!

Hi X,
I am designing a Commercial Class AB amp for my friend who wishes to want to replace ICE Class D in his Integrated AMP.
Problem i faced is my favorite pair of mosfet FQA28N15 & FQA36P15 are now EOLed by ONSEMI.
I could go with Quasi Complimentary FQA40N25 but distortion figure won't be appropriate for commercial market.
Please give a look at these mosfet IXTQ36P15P & IXTQ36N30P

I can go with LaterFETs but those are expensive though Easier to design with as inherently linear, of course i am keeping them as
last choice.

I think I may have used these IXYS on a Class A amp before. They work well and are very robust. I think a good choice given EOL on the FQA’s. What topology are you using for the amp?
Plan is go for a diamond buffer input stage[I have been playing around with it for a while], rest will be very simple VAS & Output stage
like AKSA 55 [Just will use Mosfet instead of BJT]. Diamond buffer is 3rd Harmonic Dominant but bring higher harmonics like 5th and
below 110db easily in comparison to LTP, these higher odd harmonics causes headache & fatigue, profile with H2 dominance can be granted by tweaking the VAS [bit tricky with Diamond],Carbon film in feedback is another trick.
I love Mosfet Sound , far superior bass[quick] and treble[airy] of course BJT have own strength like beautiful mid range.

I have used these IXYS parts as source followers with good results. I think the SPICE models I have for them are a bit unrealistic as far as distortion simulation goes, but they had no issues running as the sole output pair in a 25W Class A amplifier. Please give a look at these mosfet IXTQ36P15P & IXTQ36N30P
On the bench is the HyperSET being used as a headphone amp. It seems an OPA1656 (capable of up to 100mA) can drive 33ohm headphones just fine. 🙂
These are in stock and available for immediate shipment from my store.
For folks who bought them during the GB preorder, I will ship them out tomorrow.

On the bench is a diamond output buffer designed by Jhofland. Driving it with BTSB hybrid tube preamp. Using Yarra Mk2 PSU with active bridges and TI TPS7A4XXX ultra low noise regulators putting out +/-20v. It’s doing a fantastic job driving 33ohm headphones. Very powerful snappy bass and super clear mods and highs. Superb resolution.
The design is still under development and testing. This is the topology. Not shown are some 100nF bypass caps on main rails. I connected the buffer to my HiFiman HE-400i planars (32ohm) and it drives them superbly. Great dynamics and bass punch. Very resolving.
Let me ask Jhofland to see when he is ready to release it for general DIY consumption. He’s testing it for stability etc.
Let me know what you find out!
Good news: Jhofland has graciously agreed to release the design. I’ll add it to my shop and may even offer a ready to run version (fully assembled SMT) and you just install the Molex KK or JST connector of your choice. I’ll start a new thread on it once details are available.
I scored a pair of AR38s speakers for free. I hooked one up and was pretty impressed by the sound. Probably not super HiFi, but decent for my old ears. As I was checking out the surrounds, my finger went through. Probably a good thing it happened now as I was planning new enclosures and a possible recap, and maybe a x-over tweak if needed. I will learn how to install some new surround material. See pic's below.
